Hi,
being 59 my prostate starting acting up. psa levels high but biopsies were o.k. i am now taking a supplement called prosta care, order from a ayurvedic website (dr. douillard) who has a good rep in that circle.
adding ti that product (which contains saw palmetto and he states that he never found it helpful until combined with flax-pumpkin seed powderd extract-juniper berry-which is all in prosta care. he rec. also taking pygeum and selenium along with it. Bionatures puts out the supplement from which i understand are reputable. i’ve seen some improvement with flow etc. and will add other 2 rec. ingredients.
my question–(phew) if any other here with that problem what are you taking and how helpful is it. always looking for a “better” product. btw. the drs. products are reasonably priced, a 2 mo. supply of all 3 will run approx $60.
thanks
Mike

This is what they have to say about BHP:
Part of BHP is caused by estrogen. Something to lower E might be of benefit. If you have syndrome X or metabolic disorder, then you have many problems from E. Drugs to reduce the conversion of T to DHT can be also help.
Falling T, increasing E, belly fat, loss of muscle, syndrome X, CV diseases, diabetes and pre-diabetes, mood- behavioral-cognitive issues, thin crinkly skin, brittle nails, bone loss, ED and BHP all are linked to some degree. Intervention to correct hormone balance can often be preferred to treating symptoms and overt disease conditions.
KS,
aware of their site, products. do you use their whey? Will Brink swears by their whey.
thanks

this health/bodybuilding stuff is all so confusing. note their omega has more EPA than DHA, opposite of Flameout.
what i take now has
880 mg pumpkin powdered extract
120 mg pumpkin seed
only taking about 5 weeks, after 8 wks. i intended on stacking with selenium and pygeum. i have seen some improvement but too early to tell.
the LEF posted has an interesting product–guess what–no pumpkin seed.
this will drive one crazy. guess what works for one may not work for another.
thanks
Mike
