Progress

Well about a month ago I posted a page about “getting back into it”. I got a few good responses from several people, and started working out. I decided that I would create a post, if not just for me, to record progress every month. My nutrition is a combination of Prof X’s “seafood” diet (see food, eat food) and several others advice and posts on the site. Workout regime is a combo of Keith Wassung and Chad Waterbury’s advice. (thanks to both for giving me personal advice)

I will post pics when I can get ahold of a digital camera, but until then I will post sizes.

start (mid june) Today Goal
Arms 14.25 14.6 16
Chest 41 42 46
Neck 16.5 same 17
Forearms 11.5 11.6 12.5
Thigh 23.5 24 25
Calf 16.5 same same (need rest of body to catch up)

BF% 16.5 16.3 13
Weight 188 195 205

Dont know what body type it is, but my lower body always makes my upper body look small…(well it is small…so smaller)

Went from barely able to do five dips to able to do 10 with 25 plate attached
goal is 10 reps of BW+35 plate

bench from max of 185 to able to rep 5x6 of same weight.
goal is 5x6 of 225
(squats and deads are still a work in progress due to the fact I am starting them off slowely to refrain from injury.)

I figure that I should be able to reach my goals within 3-4 months… and should get pics up this week for critique (well I have final goals…but these goals are just a step on the path to the true ones)

Good work from whatvit sounds. Keep it up

good news!!! Had a guy today spot me when I was doing 185 and he asked if he could add some weight on it, said I seemed like I could do a bit more. I said OK…had 4 more sets to go so not much, first two did it fine, third kinda struggled and the last I needed help on the 6th rep. I got up and realized how much weight he had put on…15 pds, for a total of …200!!! I know that sounds pretty weak for most, but that was a first for me. That means I have over 3 months to reach just 25 pds. Maybe I will up that three month goal to 240…

Anyways should get pics up by thur, and I will be looking forward to the flames and advice

P.S its amazing how your mind will try to hold you back, now I realize what lifters talk about when they reach the “blocks” IE 225, 270, 315…aparently mine was 185. you dont think you can do it so you won’t.

Yes the mind can be one hell of an aid or hinderance.

great work and keep it up. Hit that goal and more, then make new ones and keeop going.

well here are the pics I promised… Feel free to flame away, as I will gladly use the motivation for lifting. and any help with muscles (ones that need work…even though all do) let me know so I know. Any advice even lil things, will help.

And without further ado…the comedy show!

Keep it up. I know what’s it like to finally hit a goal doing bench.

I’m not going to say anything bad until after the results of the September second football game.

HAHA…well remember the University of Arizona’s motto…wait until basketball season!
