Pretty Sick of People Today

^ I remember doing that myself when working nights, had that one day starting and ending where you would not sleep or just a nap for 24 hours. I dont miss that at all. Makes sense about not being able to say with certainty about how you perform at work. It has been so long since I worked out in the evening I wonder if my lifts would be better?

My lifts always seem to be better in the evening. Once in a while I will work out earlier in the day on my off days in the event that I got something going that night. I always feel like I am weaker although my training logs do not always reflect that. I just feel that I have to exert more energy in order to get to my targeted numbers. I do attribute this to what my body is used to though. If I switched over to working out in the AM all the time, I would have to believe that my body would eventually adapt and that I would feel strongest at that time.

You do more BB or PL stuff? I turn 38 this year so I have been trying to get in some cardiovascular shape, its great to Squat and DL big numbers. Not so great to be short of breath and thinking you are going to die after bedroom wrestling with the wife.

Got to LOL at “bedroom wrestling”. Got caught about a month ago by our 3 year old. He asked what we were doing and my response was “Wrestling”. He then jumped up on the bed and wanted to wrestle too.

Been doing Wendler’s 531 for about a year and a half. I turn 40 in Jan. my goal this year is to DL 400 by my 40th. Not a big number by many who post here. Anyway, pulled 385 a couple days ago, should easily hit it and then some.

^ Its all relative about DL and any squat numbers, its the internet remember. We dont do this for the fame or internet status, we do it to live longer and be men. You should start a log in the over 35 a ton of good guys over there with a lot doing 5/3/1. I was doing it for the past 2 years, just recently started doing other stuff, but at the first of the year going back at it.

Man thank the lord above I have yet to have a kid walk in on me and the wife. Our youngest is 15 and oldest is 20 I think it would scar them for life if they did it now.

I have been conditioning with the Prowler in my neighborhood for awhile now and my neighbors think I am crazy. Lets face it, Prowlers, sleds, etc…are way out of the norm for the majority of the population. If you are going to use one in view of the public you have to expect some weird looks and comments.

One of the first times I used it I severely underestimated the physical demand. I ended up staggering into my yard, flopped down in the grass totally wrecked, and eventually puked. One of my neighbors, who was watching me from his window, actually came out to check on me. Ever since then I have been labeled as a little fanatical when it comes to exercise and have been the focus of several conversations over beers at the neighborhood cook outs. I just roll with it and continue to be the crazy guy pushing the sled.
I get the same looks in my neighborhood, this is a picture of my prowler, yoke walk and farmers walk bars. I also have a 500 pound tire I flip down the driveway.
Yep…we are the “Klopeks” in the “Burbs”. You would have to have seen the movie to appreciate that. Anyway, if I had all that I think my neighbors would set up bleachers to watch the show.
Been awhile since I saw that movie. Neighborhood kids will stop and watch. But most of the time I do it at 5 in the morning, to damn hot in Texas to do it during the day right now.
Lol, ain’t that the truth.

Saturday I took down a wrought iron fence and made a dog kennel out of it, took me 12 hours. I know I dropped about 5-6 pounds of water. Just fucking brutal.

The over 35 forum is what turned me onto 5/3/1. It is a great program. Had a shoulder surgery a little over a year ago. As soon as I got the green light (about 6 weeks post surgery) I went back to 5/3/1 and I attribute the programs steady progression as a major factor in how well I recovered from the surgery.

Don’t think I scarred by 3 year old to bad…He had no idea what was going on. Thank God we were not doing anything to crazy at the time he walked in so wrestling was a good explanation. My other boys, 10 and 13, would not have bought into it.
