I need to some good advice to what i should eat or take before and after my operation to have a PILONIDAL SINUS (in growing hair) at the base of my back removed. I will have a 1-2 inch cut in between my butt cheeks, and they may close the wound or leave it open depending on the hair. Anyhow im not looking forward to the Op or being laid up for days or weeks afterwards, so i wanted to speed up recovery. My last meal has to be no later than 8 am as im in opearting theatre around 3pm. I’m also going to stop training a 2 days before the op, and carry on eating big, as i have done of Growth surge part 2.
I really wanna use the power of food to my advantage, to avoid being laid up.
Along those same lines, I just recently sprained my ankle very seriously. One of the things I did was to immediately start consumming massive ammounts of Vitamin C and Glutamin. Approx. 3 grams of Vitamin C every 4 to 6 hours and roughly 2 grams of glutamin evry 3 to 4 hours. The only thing I can say is that I was up and walking on my ankle 2 days later (and yes the sprain was a serious one). I can only assume that the rapid recovery was in part because of the vitamin C and glutamin !
These might be some things to consider.
3 grammes of vit c every 4 hours and seems pretty high but ill throw that one defintely into the mixer along with the glutamine. I’m probably going to use casein for its anti catabolicness as my main protein source with some whey for the anabolicness, and probbaly use surge straight after the operaion. And lots of omega 3’s with Low carb Grow.
