Powerlifters in Bethel/Danbury Area?

Are there any Connecticut powerlifters around Bethel or Danbury?

All the way down in Stamford, you guys seem to have it better up there as far as powerlifting goes.

Get your butts up to Southside!

Honestly there is no reason not to be there. It takes me half a tank of gas every friday.

I’m up in Woodbury myself. I’ve been thinking about trying to find a powerlifting friendly gym recently. Most of the shit I’ve seen in CT is the standard cardio/machine type of gym, so I work out at home where I have a power rack and free weights and get to listen to my own music.

I’d love to give Southside a shot, but from what I read that shit is probably too advanced for me. I think I read something Billy said once about not setting a foot in there if you can’t deadlift at least 500.

That’s bullshit. I’m so sick of hearing this. There are plenty lifters of all levels at Southside. If you come to train hard you will be welcomed with open arms. It’s a great gym.

Seriously, as long as you care about getting better and getting stronger and aren’t a douche then you are welcome.

Nice.

Anyone notice how many cardio gyms there are in CeeTee? Jeez, in the 'shire alone there are three.

And are there any hardcore card-access gyms in this state?
