LOL at all of the people who think that there is something wrong with men learning more about EFFECTIVE ways of attracting women. Or about being exposed to different ideas and ways of thinking. Or even hearing about OLD ideas with a different style or spin of communication or presentation.
“Just be yourself” is the WORST advice I have ever heard! As if the “self” is a static entity that never evolves… LOL
Our “prime directive” as human beings is to survive long enough to mate with the BEST possible partner so that the BEST possible set of genetics can be passed on to our offspring, thus giving them the BEST chance of survival and subsequent replication. Wash, rinse, repeat. Everything else on this sad little planet is just window dressing.
I’d even go as far as to say that as MEN, it is in our instincts and our biological make up to mate with AS MANY good genetic matches that we can! Obviously, that model doesn’t jive with “modern civilization” unless you have the means to support all of the resulting offspring. But that’s a PART of what we are as men, like it or not.
As for people knocking the fact that PUA gurus make MONEY (god forbid) by teaching a specific SKILL SET to someone who obviously lacks it (or else they wouldn’t BUY it), then those people must be communists or something, because that’s the DEFINITION of capitalism: find a market, develop a product, PROFIT!
What’s wrong with that? There is NO difference whatsoever between what Arash or any of the other PUA guys are selling and what MILLIONS of women buy at the magazine stand at the check out line of EVERY supermarket in the US. Cosmo’s headlines this month are: Be a man magnet: 13 moves to make you irresistible to him; Stretch your wardrobe, not your wallet; 8 secret guy insecurities; Your hottest legs ever; Make his friends worship you. Here’s the link if you don’t believe me: http://www.cosmopolitan.com/
So we have 13 “secret moves” that women will PAY for, some fashion advice, 8 ways to MANIPULATE a man with his insecurities, some regurgitated information on leg training and some advice to MANIPULATE a man’s FRIENDS to her advantage… But it’s the PUA guys that are the douchebags, right? Give me a fucking break. The next time you are in the grocery store and there is woman in front of you browsing a Cosmo, why don’t you call her a manipulative bitch and tell her to “just be herself” and she’ll find a man!
And that’s just Cosmo, I could give the same shit with Marie Clair, Glamour, Self, Woman’s Day, Shape, etc… ad infinitum… So WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE? Why is OK for WOMEN to learn essentially the SAME kind of information that PUA’s teach men - and that’s OK, but when a MAN want’s to figure out “13 secrets to attract a women” or whatever, he’s then labeled as a douchebag, a wannabe, a PUA, “creepy”, disingenuous, manipulative, etc…
It’s ONLY information. Do some men abuse it and lie to women to get laid? Sure they do. Do some women use lipstick and a bra to hold up their tits so that they appear to be more attractive than they “really” are? Sure they do! Is every woman that wears lipstick a bad person? Of course not! There’s no logical reason for hating on someone for wanting become more socially intelligent with the opposite sex, for business, or for whatever reason THAT PERSON wants to!
As for, “he gives off a gay vibe”, SO WHAT? Maybe he’s bisexual? Maybe he IS a fag and got into being a PUA to cover it up and WAAAAY overcompensated… It’s pretty obvious that he’s got skills and gets RESULTS for the people that PAY him… Good for him! As long as he’s not trying to put his wiener near MY butt, I really don’t care if he wakes up dreaming about a nice set of hairy balls across his chin! It’s irrelevant to what he’s communicating.
As for the face tats and the hats and the shirts that are too tight, again, WHO GIVES A SHIT? This is 2012. Not everyone has to wear a nice polo shirt to look presentable! He’s obviously going for his interpretation of a “fuck the establishment” look. By the way, LOTS of chicks think that look is hot, otherwise he wouldn’t get laid, now WOULD HE? Just because YOU can’t pull off a certain look in YOUR social circle, doesn’t mean HE can’t pull off that same look in HIS social circle…
I actually liked some his points. Yes, most of it is NOT new (and he specifically THANKS the people who wrote the books about the stuff he is regurgitating, so he is not CLAIMING it is HIS ideas), but he presents the ideas in an energetic and well thought out way.
If he has found a way to be successful and can get people to pay him money to regurgitate the ideas of others, and have fun while he’s at it, who is ANYONE to hate on that? Just because you’re not happy at your JOB working for someone else? Then grow a set and start your own business, cuz that’s all this guy is doing. Although I don’t personally feel the need to purchase any of his products, I wish him the best of luck and applaud his growing success in this economy.
