I am trying to put together a gym for my garage. All of the pieces are coming together, with the exception of my rack.
I currently have a Powertec Rack with lat pulldown option on order, but I found out yesterday that it is backordered for a while.
I would absolutely love to swing for an Elite rack, but I would also like to have the lat pulldown for my wife and any friends that join in for the fun.
The Elite rack is also a little more expensive than I would like to go, but I have not ruled it out. I have ordered a ton of stuff from Elite already, and their service is great.
I am basically asking if anyone has any experience with the Powertec rack (there was a thread a few months back that I have already checked out), or a rack from Body Craft. Both of these have lat pulldown options.
I am not ecstatic about either of these racks, but I also am going bat-shit crazy without the final piece of my glorious little gym…in a garage.
Check out New York Barbell. Their stuff isn’t built as well as the Elite stuff, I’m sure, but it’s functional and affordable. I got the basic power rack and the full crossover cable assembly for a decent price. http://www.newyorkbarbells.tv/

Those look like pretty nice racks (who thought that I would ever use that phrase when not looking at a group of girls). The only thing that I am worried about concerns the lat attachment option, which looks like it would interfere with squatting. Do you think that it would be possible to squat facing the outside…not outside of the rack, but basically backwards in the rack?
Tucker I have a NYBB power rack and lat station. PLENTY of room I can actually load a bar for bench, and the lat machine, and another bar for squattin, all inside the rack and no room issues. Only thing is I have to take the handle off the lat machine to squat or sometimes I hit my head bone when I come up LOL, no biggie it just clip on.

Hope that helps,

That actually helps a ton. Was the rack delivered directly to you, or did you pick it up from a dealer?
Good experience with customer service and all that?

Thanks for that link, man. I’ve been looking for some handles to use for dips for my body-solid rack with 1" holes and 2" frame. These guys have them. (Body solid has a rack that has an attachment, but I didn’t get that rack.)
Now I just have to decide b/w these and Power Rings.
Any thoughts from those of you with PowerRings? Are they worth the extra cash or not (about 3x the price of the handles)?
