Deadlift days should always result in some blood.
For the record, here we call any cooking outside a bbq. For my in laws it has been broadend to any eating outside. First time I got enticed to a family get together my wife told me it was a bbq. They were serving turkey tetrazinni from a deli, but outside. I was expecting brats and burgers. I was soooo disappointed. I remember being pissed about the food but then fielding the 2,000,000 questions from her family…
My deads usually end with blood but it’s usually from my legs. I look super sexy with a perpetually scabby right leg. It’s never the left.
Beware the enticing invitation to barbecue. It’s a lure that looks all bright and shiny until it’s too late.

Ditto on the right leg permascrape. I half expect my shin to just give the hell up on regrowing skin…

In the deep south calling that a bbq is a capital offense.
You got to forgive them, Joe. They use to bein indoors alot. Cabin fever thing.
A 405 pull at your bw is…, looking for a good adjective here, truly amazing.

Shave my back? Why? What have you heard? I told them not to say anything. Jeez.
My goal is 405 from the floor. We’ll see how that goes. It seems a bit out there at the moment but one thing I’ve realised is how quickly your expectations can change.
Squat
45-10
115-5

195-1
225-3 straps down
255-3x3 straps up

255-2x3
Speed bench
65 with mini bands-8x3
SLDL
135-4x8
ss with
DB push press
25-3x10
My shoulders still feel weak. I have pain in my left arm and am having problems loading the bar but it doesn’t seem to affect squats or deads. I tried to call my ART today but the rain storm knocked his phone lines out. Likely story.
By next week I should be sporting brand new convict knee wraps (and a free pair of wrist wraps because they took so long to send) as well as a fancy new custom centurian in pink and black. They shipped it today.
Highlight of the week included a builder starting a fire on his site to burn trash and one of my guys having to put it out before he burned down the multi million dollar custom house we’re roofing for him. He also caused me to bounce my head off my desk a couple of times for unrelated stupidity. My boss had to remind me of the time he got angry with a client and threw the phone at his windshield. It bounced back and hit him in the eye. I’ll get my protective eye wear.

I am glad you got some Titan gear in pink. I was thinking of getting a double ply F6 if I ever compete bench only again. The convicts rule, you will like them.

I hope I like the convicts. I understand they are super stiff. Right now I train in Titan RPMs and mostly compete in THPs. I find the THPs to be stiffer and give more support and grab. I hope the convicts are like that but more so. The RPMs are soft and nice for training but for big numbers I like stiff.
I have a lot of hopes for the Centurian. Before I went up a weight class I was breaking in a size 28. It was super tight in the hips and I could triple 275 straps down no problem. However, the short straps were an issue and I couldn’t break with 315. The custom I want tight in the hips and I asked them to leave the straps long and I’ll take them in as needed. I prefer to do it myself. I’m very handy with a needle and upholstery thread.

who’d you order from? And I haven’t gone pink yet, that is only if I go BOF again.
I got breakfast in bed today. Bacon, eggs, toast and coffee. It was very nice. Sadly, I’ve spent a lot of the weekend working. I have a crunch on at work and was sat at the kitchen table until midnight Friday night. a couple of hours Saturday and this morning measuring blue prints. My back is killing me and I was thinking that my deadlift would suck today.
Deadlift
135-5
195-3
245-2
285-1 straps up
325-2 straps up. I guess my deadlift was okay after all the sitting on my ass.
285-3x3 straps up
DL to knees
195-6x4
Canelli’s
10-4x15
hanging leg raises
3x10
This is my last heavy week before the next meet on June 5. The same one that Bunny is doing. At the moment I’m targeting at 369 lb deadlift. We’ll see the day of the meet how I’m feeling.

nice work, what are your openers gonna be?
Thanks Pete. I think the line up will look like this
squat: 117.5, 130, 140
Bench: 62.5, 67.5, 72.5
Deadlift: 147.5, 162.6, 167.5
In lbs its
squat; 258.5, 286, 308
bench: 137.5, 148.5, 149.5
deadlift: 325, 357.5, 368.5
So much depends on how I’m feeling the day of. I’ve been really busy at work and it’s been sucking up a lot of my energy just in anxiety and not sleeping well.
