This morning I saw my ART again and he says my bulging disc is back where it belongs but I need to tend to it because it will now have a likelihood of bulging out again. He made me scream like a little girl. It was an invigorating way to start the day. It’s been a long week culminating with a small spazz this morning with language that made some roofers at work do a double take. I’m normally very sweet
I probably shouldn’t have trained tonight after getting adjusted. I felt weak from the get go. My legs were burning from the minute I got under the bar like lactic acid build up.
Squat
45-10
115-5
155-3
195-1
210-3 suit on straps down
250-3,3,3 straps up
270-2 "
290-1 " This was a funny one. I hit it all wrong and I felt like I lost tension in the hole but was able to come up no problem. I kind of surprised myself in a good way.
250-3,3
Bench-speed
65 with mini bands under my back and looped through my thumbs - 8x3
Push press
85-8,6
65-12
superset with
BB rows
95-4x8
bb curls with bar-14,10 just to get my pump on
I’m a bit anal about keeping the garage gym tidy and some grass had blown in when Frank cut the lawn. He stared at me and made a comment about being hard-core Amish. I realised I was sweeping the grass off the driveway wearing my squat suit straps down and my lever belt and pig tails between squat sets.

Ah, you suffer from ODH (Overwhelming Domestic Happiness). That is a truly rare condition!
That may be true but it is a nice condition to have. Nothing is better than coming home after a stressful day to someone whose presence calms you down and chills you out; plus they barbecue a kick ass steak.

I so look forward to a return to those days. But tit likely won’t happen for another 10 years…when my daughter is 18 and moves out

And those are some mean squats! Nice work…
Ummm…they don’t leave…trust me. I keep changing the locks, she keeps getting back in! I once told my mom that when my daughters turn 18, it’s time for them to go, she just looked at me then laughed her ass off!!!

Uh-oh…
My daughter (8) and my wife already have a tenuous relationship. I am really fearful of puberty.

My experience has been that that won’t improve till…wait, I was gonna use my sister and mom for comparison…but that won’t work. They still snipe at one another, occasionally. As do my wife and step-daughter, ex-wife and daughters. Must be a hormone thing…as I duck quickly. I forot whose thread I’m on!!!

People have searched from Tibet to Tallahasee for this very simple secret of a good life.

You silly Canadians calling it barbecue when its grilling. BBQ involves very slow cooking over slow heat and normal has some sort of basting sauce.
You have to understand peopele from the deep South view BBQ as a religious ritual.
Big time squatting, looking forward to see you smashing records soon.

We call it barbecue but I like the sauce on it as well. My steaks I guess are grilled because they’re still mostly raw when I eat them.
I won’t be smashing records any time soon in this weight class (132lbs). All the M1 records in my weight class haven’t been touched since 1997. They were set by a freak of nature that we are all in awe of. They currently sit at squat 360 (this may be doable to break at some point), Bench: 193 and deadlift 451 with a total of 1,001 lbs. It mightn’t sound impressive given the weight the guys around here move but for a 132lb woman in her 40’s, it is outstanding. She’s my hero

Great squatting. Actually great everything. If there’s meat with a flame under it we call it a BBQ around here.
That’s because you are on the wrong side of the imaginary line where the vocabulary and dialect chenges. Although, I’m specting you’d fit in just fine…

Uh…actually…bench aside, those are respectable numbers for any of us. Well, except the Meats, Petes and Steves.
And I would think those would be impressive numbers for anyone running at 132# or less…male or female. I can’t wait to see you assault it!

It was such a beautiful day we decided to go for a short bike ride. 34 km (21 miles) later, we got home and I picked the bugs out of my teeth. It was so lovely out, we kept going. We were on a rail trail bike path through the woods. At one point we passed trilliums so thick on the forest floor, they looked like snow. Now I feel like I’m going to die.

X2 Great benchin’ and pulls.
Thanks guys. I love box pulls but for some reason find it more awkward to lock out than a normal deadlift. When I hit the transition just when you are locking your knees and pulling your shoulders back, it seem tougher to do. Maybe because there isn’t the same momentum as off the floor. FWIW, the 405 was actually 1 1/2 but my grip went and I tore the crap out of the palm of my right hand. I look like I have stigmata now.
For the record, here we call any cooking outside a bbq. For my in laws it has been broadend to any eating outside. First time I got enticed to a family get together my wife told me it was a bbq. They were serving turkey tetrazinni from a deli, but outside. I was expecting brats and burgers. I was soooo disappointed. I remember being pissed about the food but then fielding the 2,000,000 questions from her family…
