We tried doing my shirt a bit differently today. Frank twisted the sleeves in rather than out. I got some good pop with them out, but seem to get more with them in. It was tough starting because it felt tougher to control and worse when it was jacked. The single reps at 157.5 and 162.5 were because I got out of the groove and pitched the second rep. Yes we have 1.25lb plates and they kick ass for bench where I can only increase in small increments.

My planned third for the meet was 72.5 which is 159.8lbs so I may rethink my third.

I squatted in gear on Friday and did Zerchers on Sunday which are closer to deadlift that squatting I think. The 135 was a light recovery thing.

After reading Kimba’s log, I may throw some snatches in at the end some time but I may wait until after the meet now.

It really can change things a lot. Fortunately for me, I have a live in bench guy to tweak my shirt. Among other things :slight_smile:

The feel of the shirt with the sleeves rolled in is similar to the feel of the super katana I have but haven’t gotten working for me yet. It makes me optimistic that I can get that going before too long.

We are gonna back it down soon. I have to, as she has been kicking the crap out of me.

This is how humid it was today…when we came out of the air conditioned grocery store into the heat/humidity, our glasses steamed up. It wasn’t a whole lot better training in the garage. It took a good while to get my suit on because I was so poofy and sticky with damp.

290-2 straps up/wraps. These were ugly and high. All my shit felt too tight and it felt bad walking it out. Apparently it was uneven on my back.

310-1 This wasn’t a whole lot better. It may be parallel but was slow coming up and it took three tries to get the lever belt closed. It was still tough getting under the bar. It felt suffocating.

310-1 I changed to the dual prong belt and this was much nicer in that I could breathe. It went down and up much faster. This is 2 lbs over my planned second for the meet.

I took this picture this evening. A couple of weeks ago we got kittens for our family. They are brothers from the same litter and spend most of their time wrestling and fighting. I had to take this picture because they are cute as hell.

We named them Moses and Pepper. Right now they’re on my nerves in a big way trying to get my cereal. The black and white one (Moses) is all over anything remotely resembling food.
