Hey Ouro, I see your name is on the lifter list for the Niagara Open. Congrats on making it in on time. I guess my entry missed the cutoff. Should have opted for the overnight mail.
I know you’ll have a great meet. You’re definitely putting in the hard training to get it done.

I’d recommend you e-mail Marlene or Glyn and ask where you are on the waiting list. You could be first or second and may still get in.
Good advice Ruggerlife. Marlene called me this afternoon to confirm that I’m second on the wait list, so there’s a good chance I’ll be there.

We were training with Glyn today and already one person has dropped out so it’s looking good for you. It’s early days so I’ll bet at least one more person bows out.

If you do not mind me asking , whereabouts do you lift/workout in Ontario? Myself, I am in Pickering.
My boyfriend and I mostly train in our garage in Hamilton (and are periodically joined by Ruggerlife) but get out to various clubs and gyms from time to time. The area is pretty well populated with various PL clubs so there are tons of people to train with and learn from.

Nice to have your own garage as a gym. This is a dream of mine. I also envy the fact that you have PL clubs around, I know of known by me. Good training.

Nice job on the 2 x 300 squat. I don’t think I’ve ever entered a meet that had a cap for entrants. Interesting.
This is the only one I’m aware of that does. However, it’s a well known and run meet. For an open meet it also tends to attract some of the bigger lifters. They cap it so it can be run during the morning and is done very efficiently.
Deadlift
135-5
185-3
235-3
275-3 suit on straps down/belt
305-1 straps up
325-3 straps up/touch and go
285-3,3,5 straps down
This is the 325 deadlift 325 - YouTube
I have to start working on my grip strength. I think I could have gotten 5 at 325 but my grip was going.
SLDL
135-10
155-10
175-10
135-6x10
This was another one of our light weight try to kill each other challenges. My erectors already hate me.
CG Bench
85-4x6
95-6
bar roll outs
3x10
Plate holds (another suggestion of Franks when the only plate I was thinking of holding was my lunch plate)
25 plate held in front at arms length. 3 sets as long as possible.
I’m kinda warming up to the idea of your crazy finishers… especially the 100 reps target. I’ll throw it in next time for a challenge. 205lbs good mornings - you’ve got a strong back woman!
