I think snapper just wanted to spank you.

I think there is no question about that!

We went on a nice long hike in the woods today and got a little bit lost. This is where we were. It’s one of my all time favourite places. It’s a spot that restores me.

That is a very pretty spot.

Sunday June 20

Today is our one year anniversary. We celebrated with deadlifts and chocolate cake…

Deadlift - squat suit on straps down all sets
135-5
185-3
235-3
275-3x3 belt on
295-3
305-0

Zercher’s off the pin about mid thigh
135-5
185-5
225-3x5
245-1,4
These all came up easily. The first rep at 245 was crooked so I started over.
275-0 I think I could have gotten this if I hadn’t stopped to prepare some potatoes for dinner and started to cool down.

Floor press
45-5
65-5
95-5
115-5,2,4

Bar roll outs
3x10

Then we went for a bike ride and a walk after dinner.

Happy anniversary! And nice work! “Deadlifts and chocolate cake”…that sounds like a good log title.

Happy Anniversary, here’s to many more.

I thought I was being good about not mentioning getting back at him for tying me up by finding a convenient place to sit after I give him a lift off.[/quote]

Nicely played.

Happy belated anniversary.

It’s funny you say that about the forest because that area makes me feel like I did when I was a kid when I still believed in magic. It’s like something out of 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe".

Where is this? Or do you not give out your secret spots?

It’s the conservation area between Ancaster and Dundas on the back roads around old Dundas/old Ancaster Roads. There is some type of Catholic retreat. It really is absolutely stunning.

Tuesday June 22

Bench
45-10
65-3
95-3x3
105-2x2
115-2
105-6,5

Normally I’d squat light and fast but I haven’t squatted raw heavy in a while so we decided to screw around with that. Unfortunately it was hot and humid as hell:
45-10
115-5
145-3
165-3
185-2
205-2
225-1
205-2,3

225 was my max last summer at 120lbs so I was hoping for more but the fact that I haven’t raw squatted in months had an impact.

Good mornings
135-5
155-5
175-5
195-3
205-2 mini pr for me

DB bench
32-10,10,10,10,9

We were parched and beer was next on the to do list.

In addition, I’ve started taking creatine again. So far, the biggest impact is in the poofiness of my body. This afternoon had me sporting unbuttoned pants at work.

Last night we went for another bike ride. I love this time of year. We biked near dusk and saw four or five deer out on the trail. They were beautiful. Next time I think we should bring a cross bow.

I also started taking creatine again, so far my pants stay on at work but who knows what the future holds.

Curious about how much creatine you take, O. I have taken it but noticed no effect regarding bloating.
