Post Activation Potentiation: Legit?

Hi guys,

I recently read that apparently post-activation potentiation, where you immediately go into an explosive exercise (like clapping pushups) after a strength exercise (like bench press), is the trendy new thing to do for power/speed-strength. Does anyone have any personal experience with whether this works in practice?

I’ve heard it a lot and seen it programmed before for intermediate level athletics. Never actually tried it though. Found some good shit just by Googling though: post-activation potentiation - Google Search

Usually it’s a high force movement followed by a high velocity movement for post activation potentiation. Some people say it works, some people dont. Like in most exercise science topics, there’s a lot of gray area.
