Pooping on the Anabolic Diet

So ya, I am not shitting nearly enough. I am doing 4 tbl spoons of ground flax throughout the day in my smooth (which also has 3 cups spinach, 1/2 cucumber, and half an avocado in it)

I am drinking over a gallon of water throughout the day… If I am losing weight I don’t know because I am so full of food and water lol.

What do I do?!

Senna tea works wonders (it comes in handy when cutting weight for a fight), it’s a natural herbal laxative. If this doesn’t clear you out then you have a serious constipation problem. “Super Dieters Tea” is the one I’ve used with success.

psyllium fibre husks or metamucil (sugar free) are recommended from the old, old AD thread. i dont use them though i find my bowel movements are 10x better on the AD.

Grind up some flax seeds and add them to shakes. It has some carbs but they’re practically all fiber. It’s also got some really healthy fats.

EDIT: I didn’t see you were already having ground flax lol. Well . . . . have some more! It’s loaded with fiber, which you probably aren’t getting enough of if you don’t poo as often as you’d like to.

buy magnesium citrate pills…400mg a day

and take 3 servings of metamucil/benefiber a day…

both of those will pull water into the intestine which should help move things…

I did use flaxseed in the beginning but i found out that without im doing just fine. Drinking a lot of water and eating my veggies plus 30 grams of pistachios before going to bed.

How long have you been on the diet?

In any new eating plan you need to give your digestive system time to adjust.
Once your bowels figure out what you are doing they will come back up to speed.

Unless you haven’t taken a dump in 48+ hours and you have abdominal pain I wouldn’t be concerned.

Only about 10 days on the diet. Drank some senna tea last night and put flaxseed in the smoothie. Took 2 healthy ones today do far. Thanks guys!

Yeah the lack of carbs just kinda make it hard to get stuff moving. I actually find that psyllium and metamucil make me even more backed up since it is mostly soluble fiber. Do you drink much coffee? I find that that helps.

SENNA TEA!!! Or senokut pills, if you hate the tea. Sorry, don’t mean to repeat myself. But this is how fighters clear out their colon to lose weight for weigh ins. It works better than ANYTHING else I’ve ever tried, especially during glycogen depletion phases

You sold me lol. I can take 3 TBSP, not Tsp, of Psyllium husk and it doesnt do anything for me as it used to clear me out.

I bought a bottle of Senna capsules BC it was cheaper than the tea. Do you actually use the tea or capsules? How much do you use?

I’ve used the tea, and the pills. I take 2 pills like the bottle says, or I drink two tea’s (this one is intense though). Let me know how it works.
