Just wondering if anyone on here is a poker player?
I’ve started playing tournaments lately and am finding it difficult to eat properly. I’m not good enough to cash yet, but still sitting at the table for over 5 hours. This means eating casino food, which isn’t the most fantastic stuff is existence, and can get quite pricey if you need to eat it 3+ times while there. It seems none of them allow outside food or beverage either. So, I’m just curious if anyone has perfected a poker diet?
I was wondering about that. Does the casino get pissed if people start pulling food out? A protein shake would be easy. Add in some greens+. Leave stuff in the car, but in the winter time that wouldn’t work so well. I guess the only way to find out it try it.

Totally different experience playing live. Much more fun. [/quote]
This x2. I hate playing online its total hogwash.
What kind of fastfood places do they have? You can always buy the healthy alternative stuff. Like if they have burger joint, you might want to take out the bread before you eat or at a chinese place get steamed vegetables instead of chow mien or white rice. Sure its expensive eating at the fast food places but if your complaining about the prices then you really shouldnt be gambling :P.
So moral of the story eating fast food is better then eating nothing IMO.

No fast food places. Except for the one in the giant ass mall, but the food courts are too far away to walk to on the 10 minute breaks. They all have restaurants. I had a chicken burger the other day. The chicken was one of those fake breasts you can get for cheap at Costco. The ones with “15% meat protein”. Maybe I’m missing something, but shouldn’t a piece of meat contain 100% meat protein? Plus they taste like ass. I guess you’re right though, something is better than nothing.
I would suggest eating a big meal right before tourney begins and bring a 16oz well balanced shake with you to consume 2-3 hrs later. That is, If you last that long.

x2
Make a giant shake and drink it 2-3 hours in. If you’re gonna be much longer, bring some tupperware with powder in them and mix them up in the bathroom or something during a break.
I once packed 4 meals worth of protein powder in tupperware while I was on the V-Diet and I was going out of state for the day.
