Plucky Scares the Frat Boys

ooh sounds way more fun! Thanks! I am going to try one of those variations next week.

^^^ om nom nom indeed! That’s making me hungry and I just had breakfast! I have to agree with lateral raises = the devil. I have a shoulder that goes “kachunk!” when I lower the weights.

oh my gosh, you have a “kachunk” shoulder too? Mine does that when I do pullups!

Lol @ the “full of win.” That might be my favorite expression-it is just so versatile!

It’s restin day. Gonna chill out and study; I have exams tomorrow and Friday (econ and linguistics) wahoo.

So, my dorm has a trick elevator that likes to stop on the upper floors sometimes and just sit there, doors open, no matter how many buttons you smack or how late/exhausted/weighed down you are. After greeting my janitor buddy on the way out, I get on said elevator this morning, there are three other girls from upper floors on it already. Guess what, doors aren’t closing. Awkward giggles and shifting feet. Then, my janitor buddy, who is on his way to the supply closet, throws out the most words he’s said all week, “bounce on it.” The other girls decide to politely ignore him. Forever shameless, I heave a big ole jump in my corner of the elevator and “ping!” the doors close and it carries on its merry way! The other girls stare at me like I have magical powers or just sprouted a tail or something. Jeez people, treating janitors like real people isn’t exactly earth shattering science here. What a bunch of snobs.
Anyway, I’m pretty excited I have the key to unlocking the possessed elevator…

I read this as awkward giggles and shitting fest…
Anyway, their loss for not listening to the guy. He probably knows a hell of a lot more than they do about more than just a couple things.

FTW!

haha that’s awesome on the elevator. you’ll have to figure out a way for people to think you’re god and can make it go on command.

Plucky I’m so sad, all this talk of iPods made mine die yesterday ;(
Even after I charged it, it still won’t turn on.
This is going to be Day 2 of no iPod… tear

Lat raises really are devil spawn. There’s no denying it.

Also – don’t be an i-banker. My best friends are i-bankers. The stress is murderous and they could spit you out after three years anyhow, and you’ll be working with the evillest brown-nosers in the world.

My iPod did the same thing. But there is a reset option and that brought it back to life. if you go on the Support section of the Apple site you should find the instructions. They vary by model. Hope it works for you.

Glad it worked!
Toodle-lee-doo

ummdef- aww, shucks. you’re sweet internet hug

BreStruction- Danke

owlie-I know right? Some people…

Deja-now there’s an idea!

Nikki-I forgot my ipod today. I kind of want to cry. Glad yours is back on its feet!

Alisa-I don’t know what an i-banker is, but now I know I never want to find out.

Masch-lurkers ftw. I’ve been a hard core lurkmaster for a looooonng time. Thanks for stopping in!

Giterdone-you know how to fix things–you should definitely stick around

So, I’ve been missing a couple of days…things got busy.
Here’s yesterday’s workout; I started the weekend early last night kind of by surprise and didn’t get to post sips coffee

horizontal push/pull

warm-up: set of 7 bench press with the bar. Man it felt good to be under the bar again. Going to need to work those in asap
incline DB bench, 5x5, 25s again. I’ve a feeling I’ll get those 30s next week
bent DB rows, 5x5, 25s too. So much easier than benching. Is it healthy to pull more than you push? Cause I’m temped to let my rows leap ahead of my bench.
single leg DB DL, 5x5, 40s
kickback machine, 5x5, 130, 150, 170, 190, 210
standing calf raise machine, 2x12, 110 lbs
hamstring rocker thing, 2x12, level 8

I went after 9 last night. That was a real experience; usually I’m in there at 11 am or noon. The crowd was really different-hotter guys, but much more ogly. It was fun, but I was tired from the day…

HOly hotwings, I just realized the girl in the armchair across from me is reading Atlas Shrugged. SO MUCH WIN. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, google that ish and be ready to have your world rocked.

Ayn Rand? Eh…not bad, but there are better philosophers than her.

If pulling more than you push isn’t healthy then I’m screwed…I think I pull nearly twice as much as I push

Also, 40s for SL DL?! I’m impressed…I would straight up fall over! I think I’m gonna need a little ankle work on an airex pad if I’ll be improving on those any time soon.

Personal side note: I’ve been up since 10 studying. It’s now after 11 and someone you know is still asleep. Surprised?..I didn’t think so

Btw, I’m going to make coconut flour pancakes this morning! I’m so excited  The idea of flour-less pancakes is rocking my world…hopefully teh FLAVR will too. I suppose I can’t call it low-carb if I use real maple syrup eh?

Forgetting the iPod? I’ll cry too :frowning:
My row is stronger than my bench. Supposedly they’re supposed to be the same, but I don’t anticipate myself falling backwards because my back is stronger from a heavier row.
If they’re not super-exceeding your bench, then bump up the weight for the row.

Haha I love the different “Hot Guy Shifts” :stuck_out_tongue:
Don’t blame them for being ogly, you’re quite a nice package to… ogle. Heh.
