lateral raises: 15s, 3x8
back squat: 115x5, 135 4x5 I practically had to chase a pair of guys out of a rack. Every single one was taken the whole time. That’s a real mix of awesome and awful. There was also an Aryan poster boy doing trap bar deadlifts. I didn’t even know we had a trap bar. It’s like I discover a new toy in there every day!

Now you didnt hear this from me, but here is a tip:

Go to walgreens, ask for broncaid (it is available without prescription but its technically controlled substance). Each tab has 25mg of ephedrine, yes, actual ephedrine. Ive done it before, stuff works. A sniffle when you ask for it helps.

ephedrine / pseudoephedrine + cardio = I like cardio :slight_smile:
actually… i think that is how i got hooked on the gym in the first place. 2 weeks after i joined i got pseudoephedrine cold and flu tablets for an airway infection.

I put in my headphones for the “don’t mess with me” effect, but needless to say, I was totally ADD. It was actually kind of fun, eavesdropping on the boys all secretivelike and really forcing myself to focus on my lifts.

I was standing on a 45. That last one almost didn’t go up, but somehow it did. A friendly older fellow I’ve never seen before was doing weighted hip thrusts next to me (second time I’ve seen them this week-score!) After I had unloaded and everything, he came over and said, “That’s some nice weight there, tough girl!” I blushed and tittered like a fool, ugh. I don’t know what’s wrong with me today. I saw another guy, who I’ve never seen before, who was so attractive it actually made me nervous. Wanna know how many males make me nervous? Like .01% of the population.

barbell step ups: 135, 5x5 I absolutely refuse to let myself puss out on these; when I was a sophomore in high school, I carried my best friend (who was heavier than I was) up two flights of stairs on a sprained hip. If I was able to pull that off, I can do some measly step ups.

lol, the amount of weight I can do them with is probably due to the fact that I don’t have to step up very far…maybe a foot. I have yet to find a higher step that I can fit in a rack and I would feel safe hopping up on. THE SEARCH IS ON!!

I got all the classes I really want/need, but the timing is a little funky:

Mo/We/Fri: Spanish at 1pm (yup, only class those days!!)

Tues/Thur: Biology @ 9:30 am, Psych @ 11 am, weight training @ 2 pm, and on Tuesdays my Bio lab is at 6:30 pm

I can totally work with that.

As the start of the semester approaches I’ll see if I can’t move things around, maybe sign up for one more class. Twelve hours is a little skimpy.

Front squat: 5x5 95 I’m still working on form with these. Can’t quite hit the “yeah, that feels right” button yet, but I shall persist…

db OHP, 5x5 w/ 30s as soon as I don’t have to push with my legs I’ll go up

lat pulldown: 5x5 115 for 3 sets, then the lats pooped out and I dropped to 100 for 2 sets grrr

lateral raises: 3x8, 15s

db pullovers: 3x8, 40…30 for the last, again lats skipped out on me. Whyyy?

Then I skipped on over to Campus Health Services to get my persistent gunk syndrome assessed. The lady looked in all my cavities, hemmed and hawed, and told me it didn’t look bacterial…somehow she thinks it’s allergies?? I take Zyrtec every day… but she prescribed me a steroidal nasal spray and some hardcore cough suppressants, and told me to stop taking the Zyrtec cause it might be causing the throat dryness/irritation. Fine. We’ll see how the new meds do. Cause I totally need to take more pills…sigh…
