Please Ban Use of This Word

“Baby” is light years better than “hubby.” Stamp of approval firmly applied.

I have a feeling that Shugart wouldn’t stand for the use of the H-word (at least not in public) . . . .

Cool, so I’m ok. Just checking.

Perhaps he could do a blog entry on the topic. After saving the whales of course.

I refered to my ex-gf as feedbag in public a few times. She laughed but later hit me.

Rainforest first, THEN whales.

No, it’s the whales first. Otherwise, I will post the “h”-word all over your thread.

That’s awesome!

Fine. Whales first; you win.

Damici, you are like a little brat who likes to put your finger 2 mm away from someone?s eye and then sit there proclaiming smugly, ?but I am not touching you!?

Then when that person attempts to reason with you about how you are violating his/her space and that DESPITE the fact that you are not touching him/her that it bothers him/her, you continue to smile smugly and continue with your idiotic ?but I am not touching you!?

You seem to be so concerned about ?those who feel the very testosterone in their bodies curdling whenever they hear that godforsaken word? but I am sure that by your whining and immaturity is boosting EVERYONE?s testosterone level.

You need to reexamine your idea of manliness and your idea of ?testosterone?. Wanting to lash out at people who say ?hubby? is definitely not a trait possessed by a man of great stature. Whining and acting like a kid when someone attempts to state their point of view are certainly not traits of a real man. The inability to comprehend how some people think your statement is ridiculous is also not a trait.

Instead of trying to ?banish [the] use of the word ?hubby?? in your crusade to avoid having others lower yours and other men?s testosterone level, why not try raising yours and others by stop being less immature and less whiny? Be a man and learn self-control, forgiveness, and inner peace.

3 pages!!!

My my, the SERIOUSNESS with which some people will take a lighthearted thread never ceases to amaze me! 3 pages of people mostly saying right on and adding fun alternatives to the h-word and having a good time with it (bar 1 or 2 who decided to examine the issue with all the seriousness of ammending the Constitution) tells me that . . . well . . . maybe it’s those like you who aren’t quite able to grasp what’s deadly serious and what’s essentially playful.

This forum has “Rant” threads posted on it all the time. Look around. And most of them end up being really looooong threads with lots of people chiming in and ranting about additional things. I guess the idea of a Social IQ that can be measured isn’t just a fallacy . . . .

And on that note, if you ever promote the use of the word “hubby,” I’ll do everything in my power to make sure you are stamped out of society! Bastards!!!

I think I need to start my own political party . . . .

(Oh, and don’t forget to make up for the time you spent writing that long post by saving a whale or two today. Penance, you know).

Can everyone stop taking themselves so seriously? It’s as everyone has something to prove. Let the guy display his hatred of the word “hubby”, who gives a fuck… really?

I actually find his rant somewhat entertaining; yes I’m at work, yes I’m bored.

Damici,

We really need threads like this once in awhile, if for no other reason than to find out who doesn’t have a sense of humor. The people who write detailed threads in order to take you to task for making a mountain of a molehill…oh, man!

I love irony.

At least you also post in the fora (yes, that’s correct) that this site really is about, not like some who live their T-Nation lives in the Politics Forum. We’re all allowed an Off Topic rant once in awhile. I just hope that, when I finally come up with one, it generates as much interest as this one. (Have you noticed how many views you’ve had?)

And allow me to rant about this guy who’s ranting about the usage of the word “hubby”.

Sheesh SOME people!

Get a sense of humor!

Of course, who are you to say I am being “serious” or “essentially playful”? So maybe you yourslef are one of THOSE people you speak of?

Nicely applied! Point taken!

Stop this pointless bickering. You are all behaving like… like… like hubbies.

Thank you Tshaw. (Man, that is a lot of views)! I am not alone!!
