I just got back into lifting about a month ago and went with the Strength Based Mesocycle to get things kickstarted. I unfortunately didn’t do any maxes before hand, but I can tell you that now I can squat 220 which is pretty good considering I’ve always had weak legs, and I haven’t worked out in a while.
Well anyways, the point of this post is this: I was having trouble sleeping tonight (I’ve been sick this week; only worked out once, grr) so I decided for no good reason to try and do a pistol (I was bored). A month ago, I couldn’t even go half way down with either leg, but :drumroll: today I managed to do 3 w/ my right leg and 2 w/ my left. This was after doing 2 w/ each and taking a 10 minute break to go fix some tuna patties. Even though I have had alot of beginner gains to be sure over the last month, this is still really impressive to me.
I’ll be sure to try this workout again prolly in 3 or 4 months.
BTW, if anybody gives a shit about my training log, I’d be happy to post it.
