Hey gents
iron warrior good luck sat ill be looking intently for results. do you find that 2 or 3 board presses truly help with bench totals. good luck again

As Pipes said, i would say, YES, USE THEM!!! If u look at previous posts on this thread, i had awesome gains with boards…i also used boards and chains for a few weeks and saw sick results with both of them as well…i dropped the chains after about 4-5 weeeks of using them, the bar flew off the boards the following weeks…
i used them on my tricep/lockout day…monday would be my chest day, and thursday was triceps…i would work up to a 3-5 rep max with the boards, each week adding antoher board…3, 4, 5, and than drop back down to a 3…etc. etc…

Congrats man thats awesome. ive enjoyed reading pipes and your thread. Ive never competed but am thinking about it.my strengths not even respectable yet.you guys are motivating.
Ironwarrior yo piece of shit WAY TO GO!! So what you maybe wet the bed a bit on the squat but you still did pull the solid 5 on the dead. Im very inrtiged on your car ride conversation home with that absolute freak of a coach lol.
Seeing how this is I may have to make a guest appeearance up at that Edison gym hahaha. Got a killer squat day lined up tomorrow seeing this makes me want to go nuts!
haha yea my coach is a freak, and hes fuckin awesome…real humble about his accomplishments…he has given up squatting and deadlifting though the past couple years and he has been focusing stictly on his bench, hence his 700lbs in 4 weight classes…
haha and im not in Edison, up way up north in Bergen County, but the ride up for the gym experience with me and the guys i work out with would be totally worth it!
the vids/pics should be posted by the end of today…
IronWarrior
VIDEOS ARE UP!! i put them on my profile so just check them out there, what a fuckin pain in the ass haha…later on ill put them on the thread, but for now, just check them out in my profile, and post comments on this thread, thanks!

Man did those lifts look nice! your squat went up real easy! though you werent satisfied with the deads 500 looked really good. 305 bench was also solid!
good job man!
im doing maxes myself next week! this is my deload week!
nice vids they all looked nice and strong! Back to some of my lifting experience
Back Squat:
135x6
225x6
275x6
315x3
275x5
Fucking bologna on the squats I cant seem to get a good groove on the squat lately.
Incline Bench:
135x8
155x8
185x8
165x10
These were really solid and good lifts beings they were all a self unrack and rerack. My training partner is a BB pussy who skips mad lifting days. ( No offense to TRUE bodybuilders)
DB Bench:
55x8
60x8
65x10-get a lot of tri stimulation in this lift, strange.
Shoulder BB Presses
85x10
95x10
105x10
High Pulls:
85x10
90x10
95x10
Then a bunch of Pec-Dec stuff
OK workout, the squat is really frustrating me. Im thinking it might be because it has been ages since I worked my back and because Im not using a belt the 315 is completely bowing me over. Tomorrow gonna be some instant gratification of Biceps abs and some cardio
sounds like a kick ass day at the gym!! i know exactly what u mean about not being able to find the right groove, thats how i feel with my deadlift at the moment, it fuckin sucks, its a shitty feeling, its like ur “lost”…but dont let it get to ya, just keep hitting the squats hard and it be all good…maybe have fun one day and some high rep squats or just a totally different leg workout just to get u out of the mundane leg day, sometimes something little like that could help u find ur groove again, just a thought!
IronWarrior
Yeah fuck it, Ima deff try that prob next week if I cant get outta that lil slump on thursday, we shall see. So did that meet give you a trophy or a mdeal?
trophy, its pretty sweet…they give out fucking Swords too! but i dont know how to get one of those haha they are sick, like 2 feet long! im gonna have to find out how to get one of those and work for it! but in all honesty, thats not what its all about, i just love lifitng and being in such a kick ass environment
IronWarrior
haha a fucking sword!! thats awesome!!! it might be that best of best lifter thing, USAPL gives out an extra trophy for that too, But man it would be bad ass to walk aroud with a sword you won at a powerlifting competition lol. I had a workout today but nothing worth posting about, just shit and biceps and abs
i’m deloading this week but i also have a cold that i think will be gone by monday. will that affect my lifting? im taking a lot of fluids(gatorade) taking medication for congestion… thanks guys…
The cold shouldnt really affect you that much on the whole, but with your benching you got too many\ reps there. I would do the 135x5, then 185 for a single or double and go right into the 65,85,300.
Im being lazy and never checked your log so im not too positive on what you can do, but that would seem to suffice. You ever want to try a static hold(s) before your max out to help with mental?

Congratulations iron warrior cant wait to see you squat the 500 it will come real real real soon for ya great resaults ! kepp up the good work! (both of ya )[/quote]
How come your always winking at us cheeta??? your such a teasesee!!!
yea i think thats too many warm ups, but warming up is a very individualized process…but personally, way too many reps…id go…135…185…225…275…300…anything after 200lbs no more than 1-3 reps, and under 200 4-8 reps…thats how i do it anyway…
