I had hurt my neck on incline db press
the pain was on my left side of my upper back
a few days later, *still lifting) I felt pain on right side of my spine.
figured pinched nerve, massage might fix it, haven’t gotten massage
and I notice at times my right tricep will feel pain, and my index and middle
finger are number.
so basically from right side of my upper back down my tricep, forearm
to the fingers
any ideas?
Any pain in your neck? Where about in your upper back is the pain located? Between the shoulder blades? Around your upper traps?
The dermatomes you described correspond to a possible C6-C7 disc involvement, but it could also be a brachial plexus issue or other issues. More information would be needed to give better advice. I would suggest going to see an orthopedic physician as anytime you have numbness/tingling into your extremities, it is not a good thing.

between shoulder blades, runs through tricep, forearm, to the index and middle finger numbness
after i’m warmed up no real pain in back, just the numbness in fingers
I’d recommend going to see either a qualified orthopedic physician, chiropractor, or other practitioner to assess your situation. With no pain occurring in the neck and everything stemming from between the scapula, it may be a displaced/subluxed rib causing some of the brachial plexus to me impinged upon and/or causes acute thoracic outlet syndrome type symptoms. But as I said in my last post, you don’t want to mess around with anything resulting in numbness into the extremities.
