Physique Clinic discussion for CrewPierce

Thats a lot of weight for 192 Crew! My personal best was 450 and i weighed 225! thats a huge difference and especially without using straps like i did! Just out of curiousity… what were the other competitors lifts in your weight class for the deadlift (my favorite exercise)!!
I was the only one lifting raw in the deadlift. One other guy in my weight class was doing push/pull but he dropped out after having failed all 3 benches.

Using gear people were pulling about 500-520.

Good job at your first event–I’ve been following your PC the entire time and was very impressed!
Thanks for having followed along!

CP - Great job my man. congratulations on the record DL as well. Also, competitions are nervous things the first time out. I remember my first meet when I was 17 and I almost shit myself before the bench.

Congrats again man, you deserve it!

Awesome job on the DL!

Thanks Der Candy!

So just because the PC is over doesn’t mean my training is slowing down, so I’m torn as to where I should keep my new log.

In my thread I promised to keep everyone updated, esp. since I’ll still be working with Thibs, so I’m thinking I could keep it here. But then again it possibly should go in the strength section.

Eh any thoughts?

I’d go in strength sports so it’s not buried 19 pages in…

Yeah I agree, start a new log in Strength Sports since now your starting Crew 2.0!

Oh yeah, and just because you’re no longer on the main page doesn’t mean we’re not expecting just as much from you.

BTW, do you know what they are going to do with your other thread? I hope they aren’t planning on dumping it. I enjoyed seeing “CT Theory” applied.

Congratulations! Good job!

your arms are fricken huge.

Great to read along on your thread and see how you managed your busy time and all the troubles of moving and the robbery, the colds and you still kept it up and kept your threads alive.

Good job Mike!

Haha ok sounds good. I have a few surprises as well that should be in a new thread.

Haha I’ll make sure I don’t let anyone of you down! I’m not really sure what they’ll do with my page, although they still have the guy who dropped out up there so I doubt they will be taking mine down.

Btw I love rugby! I played a bit as a forward.

mean ass tri’s bro
450lbs deadlift is also very formidable NEW RECORD!!!
hah awesome work man

CP:

Congrats, mission accomplished. This is for you my friend:

Just took a look at your before and after pics. The ass-kissing on this forum apart, I honestly see little difference (at least from the picture theyre using for your before/after snapshot) apart from the fact that you smoothed out just a little. I’m surprised that your LBM gain was 17 pounds but its not my position to comment.

I guess your goal was to participate in a PL meet and not necessarily hypertrophy.
Well done either way…

I agree with this. I don’t really see a difference in these 2 pics, especially like you should if most of the 17 pounds was muscle.

I think that was just a bad pic to use for before and after. The pics posted about a month ago showed a much more distinctive difference, particularly in the back.

Also, I think that it’s fair to mention that somewhere along the line, Crew’s PC ceased to be about adding muscle and became focused on increasing strength with regards to a powerlifting meet, as CT noted.

And if you’re reading this, Crew, great job at the meet. Your deadlift kicked ass.

Thanks man and I agree the after shots weren’t exactly the best. I pretty much suck when it comes to posing. I also wish I had taken some pictures of my legs in the “before” section.

I really think my legs took the bulk of the weight as I can tell from having to buy a bunch of new pants. My thighs don’t fit into my old jeans anymore lol.
