Much thanks for the luck man! I’m sure I’ll be over 200 again within the next 2 days as they are my massive eating days. Feels good to have broken that level finally!

When do they do the weigh-ins for the competitions? I didn’t know if they d day before or day of…most of the jiu jitsu tournaments I’ve done allow people to weigh in the night before, so you basically have around 16 hours to rehydrate and get your glycogen levels restored.

A few years ago I cut down from 192 to 175 in about 24 hours, so that’s 17 lbs., just to give you an idea of what’s possible. You will feel like the walking dead, though. Good Luck no matter what class you decide to enter.

Thanks for the luck man!

Weigh-in’s are 24 hours before lifting, well that’s when they start. I’ll be weighing in about 20 hours before lifting starts. I’ve dropped 10+ lbs in less than 24hrs many a time so it’s nothing new for me, but for this first one I wont do anything extreme.

Good luck man, nothing but white lights for yea!

Good deal, man. As CT pointed out, just soak up the experience of competing in something you’ve never done before. It takes a great amount of courage to compete in a format where all eyes are on you. Team sports are just different than individual competition, the pressure just isn’t the same. Whether you succeed or fail, you get to take all the credit. LOL. BTW I don’t think those 10 lbs. will give you any problems at all from a recover standpoint.

Tear it up tomorrow.

Great work, CP!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! great job!!!

Congratulations Crew! Looks like you had a lot of fun and I wish the best if you compete in more future events!

Way to go!

Good job man.

Hey thanks everyone! I had such a great time and I’m happy to have that first meet under my belt.

Thanks again!

Great job on the PC! Your DL performance was great, and your gains are solid. Way to set a good example of hard work.

Many thanks! haha and I promise to get that bench up…damn nerves

Good job at your first event–I’ve been following your PC the entire time and was very impressed!

Thats a lot of weight for 192 Crew! My personal best was 450 and i weighed 225! thats a huge difference and especially without using straps like i did! Just out of curiousity… what were the other competitors lifts in your weight class for the deadlift (my favorite exercise)!!
