Your progress pics look great Crew! Your arms and traps are impressive and look much thicker. Good job!
Man, sometimes I wish I had one of your “All you can eat Sundays!” Reading your PC makes me hungry!

Haha thanks man! I would kill for your taper! Your back lifts really highlight how you got such great back width. Great job on your V-Diet the progress was insane!
Thanks again for the kind words.
Hey all, sorry for my crazy posts today. My mind has been going 1,000 miles a minute and after reading them, it looks like I’m manic or something.
I guess it’s because it’s Friday and sunny out; I just can’t wait to get out of work!
Hey Crew. I’ve mostly followed Bartl, Gus, and Greg since, well, I’m a fat guy myself and I have more in common with those guys than you. But I do look at your training once in a while. Just read Shugart’s blog about how watching you gain strength is “boring.” I don’t know who peed in his protein shake, but I think that’s total bullshit.
Few things are more exciting that watching someone gain strength. Reading about some of CT’s innovative methods for strength training is exciting. That Barbarian workout that he gave you is just plain cool. So keep doing the strongman stuff and know that some of us appreciate strength.

I second that
If from now on they’re only picking people who have potential for dramatic transformations in a short period of time, they might as well change the name from Physique Clinic to fat loss clinic and state that all apllicants have to have a minimum waist size to be selected
Seriously, you’re doing great

Haha thanks man! Lol that was a nice message to read first thing in the morning, it def. got a laugh out of me!
It’s good to know that people do enjoy following along and that I’m not putting everyone to sleep like i’m doing to Chris ![]()
I have some good pictures from lifting last night that I’ll be posting this morning to help liven things up!

Thanks Josias! I’m glad you are following along and not finding it too boring. It’s good to hear people are following my log, haha sometimes have to wonder as those stars disappear on my thread!

Crew,
Yours was the only Clinic I followed, mainly because your goals were the closest to mine. I definitely did not think your was boring, I found it quite interesting.
I think they have to rethink the approach to the non-fat loss clinics. Maybe they should require you to have a digital camera that can record so you can post performance improvements. Just a thought.
Anyway, good work Crew and be sure to keep it up going forward.

I totally agree with you as far as more gym shots and videos. I tried to upload them from work but it wont let me. I’ll be posting them ASAP though. I thought about what was lacking in my posts yesterday and I realized that since people can’t see strength, they could at least see me training for it!

Let’s hope that T-Nation uses the approach the weight lifting community has used for generation…attempt something new, learn from the results, adjust and press on.
As I mentioned, I thought your clinic was interesting. But if others disagreed then T-Nation should address the approach and not abandon this entire segment…you know the guys interested in getting bigger and stronger.

We can only hope there are some still out there.
Hey Crew
I love reading your progress so far. I highly disagree with Shugs’ comments about your body typing being boring to watch. Every skinny guy out there is watching your progress. Myself included. Your a valuable example to us all. Keep posting and I will keep reading with some intense interest.
I think as being a mentor Shugs should keep those kind of opinions to himself as they can be a little discouraging for anyones program. Bad form Shugs!

I agree that Shugs showed bad form with that comment. Then again, Shugs ain’t no cat’s paw. Part of me thinks that he said that on purpose just to get more people interested in the skinny bastards…I mean “muscularly challenged” and perhaps get the participants to take more training photos. Conspiracy theory? Or marketing reality? You be the judge…
I’ll note that I got a kick out of the duffel bag picture. When most people go out and buy a duffel it’s one of those Army surplus ones that’s olive green and ugly and looks like it’s been through every military action since World War II. Our man Crew here got himself a nice designer bag and filled it with Quickrete. Dude’s out there doing the barbarian workout and he’s stylin’!
Just messing with you, Crew, to give you some laughs. I actually like the duffel. It looks like it has several handles on it which can be very handy for sandbag work.
I COMPLETLY disagree with Shugs he has to remember not everyone has the same opinion as him sometimes ![]()
Crew you can tell in the new pics you’ve packed on some mass even though those pics of you doing the DL’s show you really are still a skinny bastard, haha. Your getting stronger to.
I highly recommend you start recording your lifts. Most Digital cameras have a video setting and a 10 second delay. It would also help CT point out any form flaws you might have.
Any goal #s? for the meet in April?

Haha you did indeed get some laughs out of me this morning! I like the “muscularly challenged” part. Hey man those handles come in handy when you need to lift the bag into your trunk! I gotta get traction in the snow some how!

Thanks for the post dirtbag (lol that sounds funny just typing it). I’m glad I’m helping some people out and that it’s also somewhat interesting.
I think Chris had his reasons for saying what he did, whether to see how many people really read my logs or maybe to set a fire under my ass to post more training pictures. I guess he’s the only one who knows, but I’m happy yo read about people enjoying my log thus far!

Haha I am indeed still a skinny bastard, but at least there are weight classes in powerlifting ![]()
I was planning on recording my deadlift this evening and I’ll see if I can’t set-up something for bench. Haha on bench I would rather have my spotter spotting me than recording the lift!

Just incase the photos didn’t show up for you in my PC section, I added the rack pull of 550 to my Magnum section.
