How do you feel about pulling with those edged plates? Those are about the same ones we have in the university gym, and they’re such a pain. I don’t pull as often as I’d like because whenever I place the bar down it rolls in every direction.
Do you reset with each rep? or is it just a little tap and go off the floor?
If you line up all the plates together and put the clamps on tightly the bar wont roll around as much so I don’t mind them at all.
I tap and go, if my set-up worked for the first one why alter it? lol
Not so much to alter it, but to regain proper starting position. My hands are pretty small so sometimes I have to regrip, or if I’m doing a switch grip I like to turn my hands the other way.
Anyway, I read your Clinic page a lot. We’re similiar as far as size, goals, body type, and weights we’re lifting, so its fun to follow along.
Keep it up and train hard.

My grip is actually one of my strongest points! Possibly why I love doing farmers walks lol, but yea I can understand stopping to get a better grip, esp with the smooth barbells you find in most gyms.
Outstanding job on your lifts dude. Seriously mean it.
The dead pics looked great, damn good. Watch that profile though, jesus could you get into trouble with that neck turn brother…Man I don’t understand why your log is 4 stars to everyone elses 5?? Not that it matters a damn bit or anything, but it is curious. Love the diet, it really looks great, and has helped me to design a scheme for myself. Keep up the great work bro. Keep the pics coming, and hey it’s not easy to get the right angle on those lat spreads w/out anyone helping you, so don’t sweat it man.
You're kicking ass.
best wishes from your bud,
ToneBone

Hey bro thanks for commenting! Haha I’ll watch my form next time on the deads, no looking at my grip! I’m glad my diet was able to help you design your own, I know you’ve been kicking ass as well man!
Who knows about the stars rating? They always say you aren’t doing something well until you piss some people off, so I guess I’m logging my progress correctly.
Most likely though people were going through withdraw when I was absent a few days while on my cruise.
I’ll work on the pictures and try to get the correct angles next time. Posing is a crap ton harder than I ever thought!
Thanks again for posting man and you better believe I’ve been keeping up with your logs!
I’ve found that the same routine and weights crew is using works quite well for me. So thanks for the info.
The supplements and diets are different though, so it will be interesting to see if and how much difference there is in the weights over time. My diet is strict, but not quite as strict as crew’s since I don’t really care if I screw up by eating a piece of sugar-free chocolate cake once a month. Midday protein shakes are straight MPI and post workout shake is either a homemade concotion or ‘rejuvinex’.

Haha you would like the deadlifting pictures, and good luck on your upcoming powerlifting meet!!
I’m going to catch up to you with powerlifting equipment one of these days! I got the belt now to add with my bands! Now I just need a few suits and maybe some chains!
You know, at first I was thinking, “Damn, Crew can definitely eat more than that. He’s 6’2”, about 190 pounds, and is mired in the cold of Michigan. What a wuss!"
Then I realized… whenever I have a free-for-all day, it comes on the heels of eating a caloric deficit for quite some time. That makes a WORLD of difference in terms of both hunger and appetite, which are quite different.
