I’m with the rest in saying that I hope CT and Shug pick a really ecto mofo. bizarre was small in comparison to the other participants, but I didn’t think he was an ecto by far.

Shame as i’m an ecto and although wouldn’t follow this to the letter was looking forward to the gains or lack of based on his program.

Why people hide, lie or don’t own upto things like medical conditions when being considered for this is beyond me.

The time and work that the coaches have put in goes unrewarded.
Someone better suited to this who really wants it will still be out there continuing to work out with the same misguided uninformed routine and diet whereas they could have had real benefit from this.

Dude, fuck off. You came into this thread with a pathetically negative attitude to begin with. u_mombooto made a valid point when calling you out on your shit talking and I, personally, couldn’t agree with him more.

If you ARE such a “serious minded athlete” then your time would be better spent READING and figuring out what works for you instead of whining that you can’t get the complete details of a program designed with someone else in mind.

And what is up with you obsessing over this kids body type? He was an “ecto” who only ate 2000 kcal a day! Most people here use that much energy blowing out shits from bigger meals. Hardly enough calories there to justify having a hard time putting on weight. Basing what you should be doing off of what this kid needs to do is just silly.

If you spent half as much time reading the Authors’ Locker Room posts and the article archives as you do whining, you would have your shit together by now. Quit waiting for others to spoon-feed you information and go out and get it the way successful lifters do - through independent research and a helluva lot of trial-and-error.

there is in fact something to accomplish by continuing to harass him… one it proves the initial claim that u will be humiliated if u drop out (Thibs mentioned this i believe in most if not all teh threads) so they knew it was coming… to not do it would be like saying hey if u steal that ur going to jail and then not punishing the person once they committed the crime… perhaps this harassment will kick him in the ass and make him realize what a waste he is

Use of valgarity is a sign of a weak kind - which you have so eloquently demonstrated. I was interested in this PC because CT had mentioned an interesting point about ecto training, which I am. He states that we should not be doing more than 2 - 3 sets per exercise, to do more would raise cortisol levels and hinder growth. That sparked my interest but Bizarre’s lack of posts made it difficult to follow the whole routine. Sounds like you are “all knowing”, so tell me what was the full routine that CT prescribed along with the diet for the entire clinic.

No answer…that is why I pushed the kid to post I wanted to know the entire work out, just like the rest of the people on this board. If you found a good routine then all the best - but I am always open to more knowledge.

Everyone let’s face it, there are many worse things Linnear could be doing than following a workout and diet designed by CT for his body type.

While I wouldn’t suggest following it to a “T” since you may respond better to more carbs, or other variables it is certainly an excellent starting point.

How many of us started off following the workouts and diets of the Pro bodybuilders we read about in the magazines? I know I did. Turns out they were only meant for genetic freaks on heavy steroid use, so I didn’t make any progress for almost 2 years.

Either way he is clearly learning, at least he is reading what one of the best authors on here is writing!

wow way to crap all over this thread. Anyway back to what we are actually here for, i did the leg routine last night and almost passed out. I did quattro dynamo a couple of weeks ago and that was nothing compared to this. Is it meant to be THAT hard?? how do you know if your overtraining on this routine??

fobzy: in my experience (and brush with overtraining), I classified it like this:

“If I feel like shit for hours after my training session, for 3 workouts in a row or more, I’m probably overtraining”.

Now I classify “shit” in this sense like this:

  • I’m almost nauseous, but not quite
  • I have a very vague headache
  • I’m slightly dissy
  • I’m extremely tired, yet have trouble falling asleep

This has happened to me, and it was due to too much training and being too rough with myself nutrition-wise – I thought I could make up for almost no carbs, with just excessive BCAA usage. It worked, for a while…

Anyway, I guessed I was overtraining, was advised to take a week off training, and that seemed to do the trick. I’m certain if I hadn’t stopped after only 3 workouts where this happened, I would have entered really overtrained state, which I don’t want to find out more about!

im also so tired and i slept for 8 1/2 hours. I just dont understand this routine - i did something like 70 squats! im thinking i might just move to a more conventional routine

fobzy: If you feel this way after every workout, I would think about the following:

  1. Are you eating enough? (My main error was that I was training too hard while dieting, and ignored the advice of more experienced friends, in doing so).

  2. Are you going too heavy? 70 reps for a large compound movement like the squat is going to be very taxing. I don’t think I’ve ever done more than 40-50 total reps for one exercise in one session. And that would be well out of the ordinary for me.

If I were you, I wouldn’t give up on this program so quickly though, I would just take a few days to rest and eat. Then give the program another try with the two variables above in better check.

I’m guessing you’re an ecto (I vaguely recall you saying so earlier on this thread), so I will highly emphasize the EATING :wink:

I’m on week 2 of the program and just finished the leg workout for the second time.

It’s extremely taxing and I feel nauseous every time I do it, but that’s fine, I actually enjoy the pain.

I’ve been eating a good amount of carbs and taking in about 4k calories per day and have been making solid progress and quick recovery.

I’m supplementing with fish oil, whey, bcaa’s, and creatine.

As a 300 pound tub of lard with high body fat ~20%, all I can say is: how does a “serious minded athlete” like you with at least a year of training under his belt not know “ectos” have low work capacity compared to “endos” and “mesos”. And if you don’t have much training under your belt (or ANYTHING worth mentioning under your belt I suspect) why don’t you follow a program here instead of waiting for CT to unravel the mysteries of building muscle?

If I wanted to increase the caloric intake for the diet outlined for bizarre, is it best to add a scoop to the Metabolic Drive shakes, or to increase the ounces of chicken/turkey/shrimp???

I’m only looking for a jump of 300-500 right now, and not 1000.

I concur. I’ve been reading the site for over a year now and have read almost every article and a good 50% of them twice. At work I had nothing better to do but read this site. This thread is exactly why I don’t bother with the forums though, or any forums on any site for that matter. It would be nice to see an example of an ecto who put some mass on, and it’s disappointing it we gotta wait now. Does anyone know if you can submit twice, I didn’t edit my first one as much as I would have liked.

I am surprised more people arnt taking thsi stance. Im really really fuckin surprised that ANYONE is giving him an sympathy. He signed up, committed himself for 3 months, and lasted 3 weeks. What do you teach people by applauding there failure? this is testosterone nation, not commend the weak minded-nation. I am in 4th year finals and managed to accomplish Poliquin’s super accumulation program, with only myself to rely on. This guy had everything and didnt last 3 weeks. Fuckin rediculous.

This only goes to further my belief that you can give someone the best diet, the best training, surround them with the best people…but its only yourself who decides what gets accomplished.
