I got the impression that CT wanted you to go to failure on the first set, before you rest/pause.
Come on dude…
Seems to me like you’re just making excuses. (I can imagine you raising your eyebrows and thinking “you try going to medical school a**hole…”)
But seriously, people do not succeed at these type of challenges because they will always find something that gets in the way of their goal.
If it’s not medical school, then it would have been something else, perhaps.
I have finals as well right now, which are even more challenging because I am dealing with a medical condition and an anxiety disorder. But I still have time to study, ace my exams, train like a mo’fo, log everything I do in detail, inspire my training partner, and spend extra time writing this post.
However, no offense, but I think you have your mind made up to fail, so I have no words of encouragement.
Perhaps you should step aside and let someone else take your place who is motivated.
How hard is it to update people on what you are eating and training during the day? I mean five minutes here and five minutes there add up. Update more man. Also I’m waiting for Shugart to bitch slap you any day now. You’re gonna open your door one day and he will be standing there wanting his time back.
I am not making excuses! All I am saying is that I haven’t been able to post as much as I would like to. I still have been posting workouts and I have started posting my diet. I have just started b/c supps are a huge part of my diet and they have not arrived yet, so I thought it unwise to post the little that I was eating, however b/c of complaints, I have posted the “regular diet” and what I have been eating.
If you think I have made up my mind already to fail, then you are very, very, very, very mistaken. EVERY goal I have put forth in my life, I have accomplished thus far and will accomplish any future goals!
Here you guys go in case you didn’t read. The diet is the SAME! Every day, except on non training days, when there is no post workout meal, obviously.
In terms of shoulders and triceps, they will be done on Saturday and the workout will be posted in the evening. That is the best I can do.
For the individual who questioned my going to medical school. Let me say this. It is the one thing in my life that I have wanted since I can remember. And it’s not an excuse. All I was referencing was that I don’t just have school exams, but also preparation for my MCAT, a weekly internship and mentorship and more.
If you people can look past the fact that I have finals for a few more days, I will then be posting as much as others (if not more). I have been training my ass off, dieting as much as possible, and then doing all that is required of me for school.
Oh, and to MITHIUS, I too have a medical condition (a chronic pain disorder) so don’t you ever bitch to me again!
*Failure should be around the desired reps.
*My numbers are a little off b/c I am using lighter weight this week to ease into it at first. I don’t want o shock my adrenals too much the first week. This way, I won’t be too tired, sore next week and will be able to go balls out, even though I have been going really hard already, just lighter weight. That is the reason for high reps.
Next week, the my posts will probably reveal fewer reps as the weight will be increased. Does that make sense to everyone? Any more questions that relate to training, diet, and supps?
Hey man, keep up the good work. You’re going to nail your finals.

Hey man, I’m not bitching. Post a little more of this positive attitude on your Physique Clinic thread, not the discussion, and Shugs, Thib’s, and the rest of the people watching you might be more impressed.
As well, it’s not the quality of your posts that really matter, it’s the quality of your results. It only APPEARS that you have a lack of interest because you write so little on your Physique Clinic thread… And it’s not all about diet and numbers and reps and shit - who cares? It’s about you. Other than the response to my post, I haven’t seen anything out of you that shows motivation.
None of this was intended to be argumentative, btw. I’m just telling it like I see it. Sorry if you are taking it like an attack, because that isn’t my intent. Regardless, I’ll shut up now. ![]()
Best of luck in your endeavors.

what is CT making you do with Flameout, BCAA’s etc?
When you get your supps, how many grams of Flameout and BCAA’s are you going to be taking?

Im saying that if you got 8 reps on your first RP and then 7 on your next RP, then either you werent going to failure or you were resting WAY too long in between sets. It just seems to me that saying that you are doing rest-pause sets and then not going to failure is kind of like saying youre eating steak when youre really having birthday cake.

Are you fucking serious? Worried about adrenal fatigue?
major fucking FAIL

Jesus christ… you’re right. Women are full of excuses… but… you aren’t a woman are ya bizarre? Pull those patties up, and grow some balls. Seriously.
Also, if you would have listened to Thib (AKA the man) from the beginning, you would have known not to drink milk. It should have been apparent that if coach Thibs wanted you to take it easy the first week, he would have told you that. You can still succeed man, but you definitely have got to get your head outa your ass… That’s for sure.
Why no milk? I stopped drinking milk years ago when I heard our body is not made to consume it after the age of 3. But then I heard there is some benefit from the calcium and that it adds a few more calories… so what’s the science behind milk???
I believe it doesn’t have anything to do with if milk is good or bad for you. It has to do with that CT told all of them no drinks with calories in it. Only water/tea.
Thibs says no dairy if you are trying to lose fat.
Rest pause, drop sets, low volume, bad strength training for ectomorphs? Looks like I’m just wasting my time!
Good luck. Keep it up, even if that kind of training is to damn hard.

Those super duper high intensity methods were there for a reason. You should go WAY BEYOND failure, not leave something in the tank before the next leg of the set. CT might get insulted if you don’t use the method right.
Bizarre,
I did the leg routine yesterday. BRUTAL. I have to admit, I haven’t done some of those exercises since the fifth grade, especially the leg extensions. Hopefully that SURGE Workout Fuel will help you.
I didn’t honestly think milk was that bad. I’ll cut it from my diet too, see how it works. I’ve always been a big milk drinker (or cheese when I’m keto). Interesting to see what will happen.
Keep it up, and let us know how the supps work out! I’ve been using the 20 BCAA’s during my workout and that helps a ton. Good luck man, work hard, study hard. We’re behind you.
-Sab
Hey man,
Hope all is well, I’m following along with all you guys, and you’ll be in the swing of things with those super high intensity techniques next week. We’re all in this together. Open up a couple dozen cans of whoop ass on those finals.

All I have to say is, in this world, once you let go of your foundation in a hurricane, you get ripped from the ground.
So, I don’t believe you truly let go of your foundation. So with that said, keep holding on, never let go. And let the hurricane rip and pull at you, it wont win.
When it’s all said and done, you will stand, and even though everything around you may have crumbled, you will stand tall.
There is only one hero in everyones life they can truly count on, and it’s themselves. So be that hero to yourself first and formost. Do not let this opportunity pass you without putting every inch of will power and determination forth towards it.
I know you can do it.
