If you read the Physique Clinic and this thread you can cull the information you’re looking for.

I even have my own little information body guard, right on.

But he’s right, it will not be given to you, go find if in the threads.

FYI - you can get Omega-3 eggs at Albertsons. Most Albertsons I go to in S.B. and Buellton usually have two different brands in their egg section. They’re clearly labeled as Omega-3’s.

Tri-County Produce actually sells them as well from a local organic grower, so I plan on getting them there. I can get all my veggies there to and they are a lot cheaper and a lot fresher than at the grocery stores.

Plus its super close to my house.

As most of you prolly already know, I post the majority of my thoughts over on my main thread. Well, I want to start getting more hits over here but sometimes I just don’t have anything else to talk about after posting on the main thread.

What would you folks out there like to read more of?

Remember, this is as much a learning experience for you as it is for me.

Hey Barti. Just wanted to let you know that I’m very impressed at the commitment and energy you’ve put into your transformation. As well as a little jealous of the support you are receiving from the coaches.

Do you have any major goals you are aiming for right now, physically? Or is it just to look as great as possible at the beach?

I have a question about how you feel during the “weighted-cardio” supersets. I recently added them on two of my offdays, and boy do they get me winded. Yesterday I managed to get through all 5 sets with good form, but I can’t do like Thib recommeded and keep the muscle under tension the whole time. I need that short pause with the muscle unloaded to keep from completly running out of gas. And I had to take 30 seconds between each superset to catch my breath a bit. I’m getting better each time, but man are they tough.

PS - My Blue Jackets got two big points at home over the Canucks this week. :stuck_out_tongue: After Nash’s amazing goal last night in Phoenix, we’re only 1 point out of the playoffs.

That’s excellent - I didn’t know there was a local organic source for Omega-3 eggs. I get to the Zoo often (right around the bend from Tri-County Produce) so I think I’m going to get my O-3 eggs from there. I’m a big supporter of local agriculture.

I have been trying to come up with some good goals but I have never been good at it. I fly by the seat of my pants so much that I never had practice at aiming for something, just point the nose and go.

For this program though it’s hard because I want strength goals and since there isn’t a lot of strength training going on right now, the picture is a little muddled.

I guess my physical goals would be to complete my triathlon in a good time. Since it’s my first, I have no idea what a good time would be. 4 hours? 4.5 hours…under 4?

For the most part your are correct though, my goals are cosmetic. I want to look good and be proud of my physique. Not be afraid to strut my stuff on the beach.

As for the “weighted cardio,” shit’s hard man. Yet the thing that I always think about when I train is this: If I was actually in the presence of Thibs, what would he be saying to me at this point? What would he make me do? I know the answers to those questions based on how he trains, so once I hit that threshold, I force myself to go beyond that.

Two nights my shoulders were absolutely on fire and I wasn’t even close to being done with the set as I was only on the first exercise. So once I hit my 10 seconds rest period, I didn’t take it. I went right into the next exercise, then did the same thing with the second rest period. I had already hit my pain limit on the first exercise, so I took myself as far past as I could go.

One of my friends who is a trainer at my gym saw me go through that and just shook his head. He said, “I can’t believe you have the ability to push yourself without anyone around. I can’t even get my clients to go that far.”

I’m gonna quote an awesome man movie (one with fighting, blood, naked chicks and violence): “Pain don’t hurt.” Name the movie.

I am finding that quote to be true. Pain is a frame of mind, just like being scared of heights or being afraid to jump off a cliff into water. You can get over it. You just have to force yourself.

P.S. My Canucks are struggling lately. Not playing well at all. But that goal by Nash last night was absolutely amazing. Prolly one of the top 10 goals of all time.

P.S.S. If you are a Buckeye fan, you can no longer post here. I am a die hard Michigan fan.

(just kidding about the posting though)

13 years at and 3 degrees from The Ohio State University. So you could say I’m a fan. I hope hotrod gets things going up at Michigan. It’s not good for the Big Ten when UM isn’t good. Though Tress is definitely making up for the years under Cooper in that series.

Good to hear I’m not the only one who feels like he got hit by a truck when doing those sessions. After 2 sets I can feel the urge to vomit, and after 4 I’m dreading the last set. When I’m done it takes the whole 30 minute walk to start to feel like I’m not going to be making the gym stink like regurgitated BCAA’s. I hadn’t felt that level of sickness from weights since I was a rower in college.

I had to cheat and look it up. I haven’t seen that movie since it came out. I might have to rent it tonight, since TV is boring with no writers and my Jackets are off tonight. Who doesn’t like a movie filled with fighting, especially when sprinkled in with naked chicks?

I find that your approach, imagining a little Thib on your shoulder yelling at you, does help.

If you went to Michigan you could have gotten all that education in just 4 years and 1 degree.

Tell me about it.

Next session, imagine him yelling at you, but in French with a Canadian accent. Just don’t do it while benching, you will drop the bar from laughing so hard the first time.

If some of you have been wondering why I haven’t been posting my music its because instead of typing out the good songs, I have just been putting them in a playlist on my iTunes. So far I’m up to 52 songs, just about 3.3 hours worth of music.

Once I am done, I will post all the songs and artists. I would like to post all the music on a site for all to take if they want it but need some suggestions.

I was thinking rapid share but I don’t want to pay to use the site. If anyone has any idea’s of where I could post this for you readers to get, let me know.[/quote]

This might not be a good idea, as posting the tracks for people to download for free would be a copyright violation, and the RIIA are pretty hot on this stuff.

Bartl,

Just dropping in to say, great work man! You have made amazing progress thus far. Congrats!!
I too, am dieting and it aint easy on low calories…but when you think about why you are doing it and ahow good you are gonna look, it keeps you motivated. I have been dieting dead strict for 23 weeks now, making a few mistakes along the way and took 2 breaks off maintenance calories to help my body a bit.

GOODLUCK!

Thanks alot GJ! 23 weeks is an incredibly long time. I think once its all said and done, this program will have taken right around that amount of time. I can see it now…
