Good job with everything!

Will your triathalon be local?

Awesome work dude!!!

Been following your progress for a while now. What an inspiration!!

Keep it up, of which I am convinced you will.

Holy crap bro … I think there’s something very wrong with your deadlift technique (please check out some you tube videos about sumo deadlift) … but congratulations for the enormous progress

Daaaaaaaaaamn, that’s some awesome progress pics right there!! I know it didn’t come easy, but I’m sure it was worth every drop of sweat.

It’s fairly local. I’m in Santa Barbara and the race is up in Paso Robles. So it’s not too bad.

Cool. Thanks for the tip, I will definitely check it out. I wanted to post some video because I know there are techniques that I could use.

So I appreciate the help!

Every drop of sweat and them some…

Kicking ass and taking names! You’re really starting to shape up now. Now you actually look like the athlete you’re always saying you have been.

Here is Cressey’s article about sumo deadlifts. It has some videos of sumo pulls:

Great work man. Keep it up and stay strong!

You’ve made some amazing progress! Great job!

On the Sumo deadlifts, I’d recommend that you try placing your hands a little farther apart. When I Sumo, I usually have my hands around 12"-16" apart. I think you’ll find that will help you stabilize the bar a bit more.

You might want to find another bar to use with a wider grip though, as it looks like that would put your hands in the smooth part of the bar you were using in the vid.

damn man, awesome progress so far! those last pics don’t even look like you!!!

Right on man thanks. I’ve been reading a lot of Cressey’s stuff lately and am beginning to think he is a genius.

I think that after seeing the videos of good form, that that is probably my biggest problem, hand placement. If I go out further, I will be off the smooth part of the bar and onto better grip.

Thanks for the tip!

It’s funny you say that Dre…check this out.

I went out with some friends on Saturday night and we were going to this new club in town because we knew the owner. It happens, that I used to be really good friends with his sister as we worked together for about 2 years, BUT that was about 4 years ago.

I haven’t seen this girl in at least 2 years and I saw her out front of the club. I walk up to her and ask her for her phone number. She looks at me and says “Why don’t you ask my boyfriend for my number. He is standing right there (next to her) you asshole.”

So I respond, “you don’t even want to know my name?”

She says sure and I name drop myself…LOL. She replies, “no your not, I know that guy”.

Then she took another look at me, chin hit the ground and she started to get teary eyed.

Had NO clue it was me. She freaked out for the next hour as we caught up but that was by far the best reaction I have gotten since I started this program.

That’s great. It’s the moments like that, that make all the ass bustin’ you’ve been doing really worth it.
