I think Heath has deserved his 4 gongs, some were line ball but that’s the nature of competition at the most elite level. Olympia also has the “knock out the champ” aspect to it.
It was probably that bit of mongrel that got him the 2012 Olympia in the end and I think there has been a marked difference in him since that. If making it him against the world drives him, more power to him - Jay is not exactly reaping the rewards of being the likeable champ.
I’m not denying Heath his 4 wins. Definitely deserved. I just expect a champ to display certain traits, on and off the field.
Imagine Dorian Yates acting like Phil does.
That would be hilarious! I would actually pay money to see Dorian act like Phil in the video above.
I’m ready for a new Mr. O. As much as Phil has been deserving, largely because others have missed the mark in conditioning. I’d like to see an underdog show up and blow the rest of the field away. That would be awesome.
The only time that has happened was when Dexter beat Jay, it’s going to play out like it always does. Phil will keep winning until Ramy is clearly better (and his English has improved) - probably 3 years, they’ll give Phil that final win and the following year when Ramy blows him out of the water, Ramy will be champ.
The Olympia is less a contest than an exhibition.

For me I would say Wolf is next in line if comes in shredded. -He’s blonde, white, won’t bite the hand that feeds him, doesn’t swear and hasn’t raped any fruit.

If Ramy comes in full and with conditioning that rivals or beats Phil’s, he is already better. I dont think it will happen this year though.
I’d say the same about Wolf. I think Phil regressed to a small degree in the last 2 Olympia’s and if Wolf nails his conditioning, he could get the nod. Same with Rhoden.
Dem Calves though!
His calves arent bad, they just arent a strong point, and it’s exaggerated because of how massive his quads are. Besides, judges dont seem to place too much emphasis on calf development or Dennis Wolf would never be a contender
