Pfister Wins!!!

Phil Pfister Wins WSM!!! by Randall J. Strossen, Ph.D. | ?2006 IronMind

Sanya, China - Phil Pfister won the 2006 MET-Rx World’s Strongest Man contest moments ago.

Mariusz Pudzianowski was second and Don Pope was third.

Yahhoooooo An American win.

this is big news.

Was it 2001 when he predicted a win while holding the Pillars of Strength? Phil is the freakin’ MAN! I can’t wait to watch the competition around the new year.

-Dan

Good to see that Polish prick where he belongs, second place behind an American…

Great job Phil!!!

Goes to show you how much better the competition was at IFSA than WSM.

that’s awesome!

DAMMIT, and I could have watched it too…grrrrrr…

With regards,

Polish Prick

Too Far?

Uh… NO

And as far as polish pricks are concerned, note that there were 4 of them in 10 men final!!

All that matters is the top 3 on the podium and we had two there.

SIMPLETON and common arogant idiot???

Nope, just an American proud of our guys being the best

So go home, lick your wounds, the grief will get better with time.

you are simple!!

unlike you, I cheer anybody, I love sport, competition. And am pleased for Phil, as this year he was the best PERIOD

I do not need to lick any wounds, or recover from any grief… I’m chilled

I am simply pissed off with you and your stupid comment!! Regardless who you call a prick, whether it’s my county man, or… actually whoever else…
fantastic example of a chauvinistic and homephobic behaviour!

no more discussion

Just imagine if a BLACK guy came in second!

I’d hate to think of the possibilities.

It IS good to see an American win (if you are indeed American as well). But that doesn’t make all the others competitors pricks, does it?

Thats awesome, been a LONG time!
anyone know when it will be televised?

Great lets turn this into another nationality/racial acticle…

Congrats to phil for a great win! Cant wait to actually see it telivised bet its gonna be a great one to watch.

I agree, Marusz is a douchebag. I’ve worked at the Arnold Classic the last four years, and of all the strong men competitors, he was the only one I saw with a bad attitude.

Zavickas, Pfister, Magnusson, and all the other competitors I came in contact with were all very decent and approachable.

I don’t the Marusz is a prick because he’s Polish, he’s a just a dick.

USA - USA - USA

I cant say for certain because i wasnt there, but from what ive heard about mariusz is that hes an extremely intense person and may seem a little standoffish. I’ve read articles by other strongman that say mariusz focus is unmatched by anyone, so it may be hard for a guy like that to turn it on and off in social environments.

also, viking ur an idiot man. im real happy we placd first and third too, but mariusz could be one of the best strongman of our time (said from the mouth of kaz himself). to call him a polish prick is just ignorant

Your a sensitive lot that post here.

I agree, he was a prick to me and my kid.
After the days strongman events, I asked him if he would take a picture with my kid. I approached him when he wasn’t busy and asked him politely. I’m on the medical staff, btw so I have access to everywhere.

He said in five minutes, and just blew us off. He wasn’t doing anything and had plenty of time. All the other guys were cool with it. The kid who had done the 970 deadlift spent time talking to my kid and posed for a pisture, along with others.

From dealing with these guys, he seems full of himslef more than the others.
