Personal Opinions on T-Dawg & FF

In the Diet Manifesto I read that the T-Dawg diet seemed to get the best results. However, here on the forum everyone seems to be a big fan of the Fat Fast diet. I’ve read about both on the website, in past articles. This is probably a very re-hashed theme on the forum, but I’ve yet to see the question, so sorry if some are tired of this.

Has anyone done both of these diets? What did they like/dislike about each, and which did they feel was superior for their goals?

I’m at 210, 6’1". This is the most I’ve ever weighed, and I feel my lean mass is higher then ever. I have relatively low body fat, I haven’t measured… (I’m going by what the mirror, and women say) Which would be better to wittle away at the little fat I’ve left? T-Dawg or Fat Fast? I’ve tried the T-Dawg in the past… I actually gained weight, but that’s because before that I never ate protein, yeah I lived off of breads, fruits and vegetables. So while losing fat, I put on a bunch of muscle and I think the diet is great.

I was just curious as to everyone elses opinions on the two diets, and which they think is superior.

Just a note, John Berardi’s “Don’t Diet” plan (a fat loss version of Massive Eating) is also very good. It was written after the Diet Manifesto so that’s why you didn’t see it there. An updated Manifesto will appear in a future paper issue of T-mag.

If you’d rather not go low carb, the Don’t Diet plan is the way to go. The Fat Fast is very fast indeed, but very painful and you have to be mighty careful coming off. I’ve also seen people have success with a quick two week Fat Fast followed by the T-Dawg diet.

Thanks Chris. Even though low carb diets seem to work best at just cutting down for me, I would prefer to get some in, since I often play football or pick up games of b-ball for a few hours.
