Pre when i was knowledgeable about nutrion, calories and the sort, especially towards the end of school in some pro am sporting teams, I used to eat a lot
And by a lot, I mean more binge meals then now
I remember this particular day, we had just arrived in to the airport and had about 4 hours of travelling
I ate 12 McDonald’s cheeseburgers at 6am, finished off a 3L bottle of chocolate milk, stopped at the petrol station about 30mins out from the airport, dusted off a 12pack of cinnamon donuts, still driving before entering the long haul freeway drive got a 12peice original recipe from KFC and a 1.25L mountain dew, stopped off at the rest stop about an hour down the freeway, 2 large big Mac meals and 4 chicken and cheeses, another hour drive and got through another pack of timtams and a few energy drinks, finally arrived at the hotel which had breakfast lunch and dinner all you can eat buffet which both had +3 plates worth of food
Albeit we were training for 6hours a day, that particular day stood out for me, it was a free for all when the bigger members of the team used to eat and a record of mine still stands to this day
I know the US burger sizes would be a lot larger then Australia’s, but I managed to get down a big Mac in one bite, 8 seconds
It wasn’t pretty, but it was impressive (That’s what she said)
So when I started seriously lifting weights (about 11 yrs old) I went from sub 80lbs to around 130-140 in the timespan of 1-2 years.
- I drank weight gainer shakes like 2x/day, I’d eat anything in sight besides that, probably ended up eatin 4-5000 cals/day, junk food wasn’t out of the question either
- Optimum nutrition serious mass, mashed potatoes and chicken
- I liked that I was able to put on a lot of weight at a very fast rate, the weight gain didn’t slow down either, however I lost a lot of muscle definition (never got fat though)
- The bloated stomach, gas
- To stop getting picked on due to my extremely short stature.
That’s some serious eating!
