Has anyone read “Super Joints” or “Relax into Stretch”?
How would you rate these books? Have you followed the guidelines listed within them? Were they useful to you?
Thanks

super joints = joint mobility. This is not new at all and you probably did it as a kid using arm circles, hip circles etc etc. Good stuff for a warm up.
Relax into stretch = self administered PNF stretching. Ideal for post workout. He doesnt go into sets and time but 10-15 seconds X3 would be about right.
Enjoy comrade!
Power to you!
Observe!
blah blah blah…
I read Relax into Stretch. It may not be revolutionary, but I went from a hamstring stretch with my fingers a few inches above my feet to getting my knuckles on the ground pretty quickly. And he does make the distinction between static and dynamic stretching.
Both are very basic. There is better free info on the net. Like the details of PNF stretching. The joint mibility was very basic. If you had to spend money on something, I would try thr “magnificent Mobility” dvd. It seems to get good reviews, though I have not seen it.
Both are excellent. I recommend them highly.

I have both. Being a FFB, I have never had the joy of having such fluidity in my movement. They are excellent books, worth every dollar.
Oh and btw I dont mind the language used… If you ever played C&C Red Alert 1 and 2 you’ll enjoy it.
I have both and I like Relax into Stretch better than Super Joints. I have heard from others that it is very basic and I’m thinking of getting either the Steve Maxwell DVD, Magnificent Mobility or the Z-health package to replace Super Joints.

I know a couple of Z certified trainers and the stuf they do is pretty cool and some of the results they’ve gotten with clients are amazing. They recomended the Neural Warm Up, you have to call as the Z website is not up to date. I also heard they are putting aout a new R-Phase product, it maybe worth waiting for.
I bought his first book for the nifty sum of $36. His ideas are good but for the price he’s pretty short on info. Not word 1 on warmup, diet, or recovery.
He gets good reviews from the T-Nation staff so I give him the benefit of the doubt. I saw several of his books on ebay for $18. If your looking to be small but quick and athletic you might check out John Davies and Renegadetraining.com He’s also been featured on T-Nation.
