Pavel Tsatsouline's Info?

sooooooooooooo. i have some of his stuff, books with me after dl-ing a load of fitness stuff. some of his books interest me such as “relax into stretch” and “super joints”, however these books were written like 9 years ago? 2001. and im sure alot more stuff have been researched or found out. so is this still usable/trustworthy? i would definitely like to give them a try/learn from them but what i want to know is HE and his stuff reliable?

His big thing was pushing the Janda situp, a “superior” way to train abs. However I believe, and please correct me if I’m wrong, but there was a T-Nation article recently that stated research showing Janda was wrong and that technique really didn’t work as well as advertised.

Pavel’s like everyone else shilling fitness products. Has some good ideas, but caveat emptor.

i used relax into stretching to help with lower body flexibilty. i found it worked great

As far as I remember, the flexibility stuff was all hype and little meat. There’s no secrets to it. A book may say “stretching is not the answer” and then recommends stretching. The normal kind and PNF methods. Google it up.

lawsonsamuels: im not doing that. so its fine. (:

caveman101: alright. i do want to be more flexible so i tried it out. great to know that it works

Alffi: Ok i shall google that.

anyone else tried it before or have any more info? thanks

I have bought his naked warrior and Enter the Kettlebell books. I really liked both, but that was waaaaaaaay before I found this website. You can probably do just as well using this site alone.

His “ab pavelizer” is overpriced and overrated.

His Enter the Kettlebell Dvd OR book is worth checking out on amazon, but don’t buy both IMO. I enjoy the workout in the book

Naked Warrior wasn’t great once I found out how many other people did pistols.
