Pause Deadlifts

I recently starting doing breathing pause squats as the main squat movement and the squat jumped about 50 pounds in 3 months. So i decided to look into pause and double pause deadlifts, my beltless pr was 550 and yesterday i only got 365 on double paused deads for 3 sets of 3 grinders. I’m probably gonna stick with one of them but i was curious whether people have more success using the single pause over the double pause or both types equally.

I normally pull conventional and predominantly fail my deads in the post knee region if that matters at all. Any feedback is appreciated

I love them personally I fail just before my knees so I pull to that height and then pause and then pull through.

Sorry for a slightly late reply, but pause deadlifts are a great call! When warming up, do all reps normal as if you were doing dynamic effort work, pulling as fast as you can. Once you get to a weight where you know it will be a challenge to pause or double pause, count those as working sets. I used them for a few weeks and (I’m sure in conjunction w/ other training factors) my DL went up 40lbs easily.
