Over 200, Gotta Be Roids Right?

That’s not my problem. My problem is when someone claims a feat never seen before I’d like more proof than “I saw him do it.”

But like I said who cares.

It’s the fucking 1920’s and 30’s. You are expecting HD video footage? Maybe a few quick vids on youtube? I am sure everyone who was anyone was walking around with a pocket camera back then.

Oh wait, cameras were all big as shit, cost a fortune and required two hands to operate.

Some of the comments here are silly.

Either appreciate or move on…but what is with the hate? If you don’t care, quit posting in the thread.

Haha professor X man.

I lol at you all the time.

It’s great and thank you.

OH SHIT PROF. X VS AUSTIN_BICEP, WHO GONNA WIN

Old school feats of strength still impress me till today. It makes me wonder what training methods they used to develop that level of strength and size and also relative to the general public they must have looked outstanding in many ways. I imagine supplements were unheard of in those days and possibly used large amounts of whole foods and whatever natural medicine as well. It’s always good to read, a “History of Strength” if you will.

Also, we only have photos to go by, forget about expensive videos - even if there was a little embellishment on the numbers, who cares? It all adds to the folklore.

I think these people have put a great amount of hard work & didnt have overtraining paranoia.

I don’t believe any of his feats of strength because there is no proof.

I don’t believe any of the Olympic records that happened before the 1920’s either because that’s when video cameras were invented so anything before that doesn’t have sufficient proof.

AAAAAAAACTUALLY I don’t believe anything in the world has ever happened before the 1920’s, no revolutionary war, no roman empire and certainly no Crusades. There is no way that first hand accounts should be considered proof that an even actually happened.

Sadly, that is actually what some people have said about the Holocaust.

Haterz gonna Hate.

Stu, I really think he looks no different than many young posters in RMP over the years. His biography states he really got big in his twenties, he was, by his count, 185 in that pic, about 6ft tall. Certainly not filled out. George Hackenschmidt, the famous Russian lion, was by ccount 4’7 and 125 at 14.

It is interesting that many of these guys started lifting at freaking 10 or 11. [/quote]

The younger you start lifting the better. If you have an educated mentor during your growing years and eat and exercise properly you can get insanely big and strong.

I’d say there is a fair bit of misinformation in regards to the Holocaust. I think it is underreported, truly how great the scope was.

Jews and gypsies suffered most famously, but the anarchy created in Eastern Europe and the utter devastation within Russia should be mentioned as synonyms.

In my experience, much Holocaust denial is not truly anti-Semitic in intention, but instead human incredulity at the thought that “6 million jews were systematically gassed”, as if the massive starvation within the ghettos is not genocide.

Another thought that is touchy is the evidence of cooperation within the condemned populations. I came across an old Byzantine manuscript today echoing the situation the Jews were in. A group of demons had been released from a nearby pagan temple and proceeded to infect the entire town. A Saint was called to exorcise these souls, and so he gathered many of the poorer townspeople together. They cried out, asking for their compatriots in possession, who had escaped this round up, be captured as well.

Why would they betray people who had been friends and neighbors? Haterz goin hate

It doesnt matter, cause Joe made it ;))

Apologies for being skeptical about a guy from the 1920s who has much stronger legs than Ronnie Coleman. I mean shit he can leg press twice as much.

They have quite a few photos of him, I’m sure someone would have photoed those feats, guess not…

I don’t believe shit that is pretty outrageous and this is up there whether it is from the past or modern day.

All the previous Olympic records have believable records recorded, that’s not what I’m saying, if there was some shit about someone running the 100 meters in 8 seconds in the 1800s I wouldn’t believe it either. I think my point is though whether right or wrong the subject at hand is meaningless and so are most others so if someone is going to hate, me for example where my joke of a post “who cares” had people loading their guns readying themselves to battle me, when in reality it’s such a petty matter that if you can’t handle everyone in this world not agreeing with you, you’ll live miserably.

No one even recognizes the Armenian Genocide in the 30’s, so it’s totally believable that people shrugged off the holocaust.

^so true, and I was so surprised that it took 20 years and a holocaust course to actually leave about the eugenics movement.
