thanks for everything guys, I really do appreciate all the info/help yall have given us. What are yalls thoughts on this?

Day 1
Rows
Incline Bench
Straight Bar curls
Seated calf raise

Day 2
Seated shoulder press
CGBP
Front Squat
Hanging leg raises

Day 3
Flat Bench Press
Deadlift
Close grip EZ bar curls
Standing Calf raise

Day 4
DB Shoulder Press
Dips
Back Squats
Weighted sit-ups

Day 5
Chin-UPs
Decline BP
Seated calf raises
DB Hammer curls

Day 6
Standing Shoulder press
CGBP
Back Squat
Some other ab stuff

What are yalls thoughts on doing some extra trap work on back days?
Main Problem that’s glaring is that there’s no Hamstring Dominant Day, You have 1 Front and 2 Back Squats.

Also Front Squatting for 13-15 reps is that not dangerous lol especially when it gets to 5 sets on Week 3, you ok with that ??

Maybe switch Back Squat to Day 2 and put Front Squat on Day 6 may be better ?
Also with the Squats add in Leg Curls to not totally neglect your Hammy’s.

What i’m doing is Sumo Deadlifts Day 4 with Leg Press after to give them some work… or maybe pick another Deadlift Variation.

Also Deadlift on Back Day in between 2 Squatting Days ?? Again Week 1 you could be ok, Week 2 would begin to hurt Week 3 you could be in trouble… Maybe switch to Rack Pulls or Rack Pull Ups give your lower back a break

Rest of it is fine, hope this is of some help, as regards Trap Work, if you choose Rack Pulls they should get enough work there, especially when your adding in another Leg exercise on Day’s 2,4 and 6.

If you REALLY need to, maybe add it to Day 1,3,5 but again think of Week 3 lol believe me 90 seconds rest is NOTHING in between all those sets.

The way I understand it, this program doesn’t really leave you with much in the tank after a workout. Or if it does, you probably aren’t putting everything you have into it. I’m assuming that extra trap work probably isn’t necessary if proper back exercises are chosen.
Day 1,3,5 don’t really drain you as much as the other days Legs i think are the major drainer !

Day 2,4,6 those Days absolutely lay you out lol i go through 2 litres of water in the gym alone trying not to pass out it’s a brutal day !

Not a necessity at all. A caloric surplus is what is really needed. Now, of course Im biased toward the AD. I firmly believe that the quality fats help with inflammation and boost recovery somewhat.

PS, my wife will dabble on the diet with me from time to time. She can eat whatever she likes and still stay hot. But then she is active and doesn’t eat all that much in total. Plus she’s 5’10" so if she did gain 5lbs who would ever know? ha ha…

But anyway, I eat like this by myself and its not hard. When the family adds taters, pasta and the like to a meal, I just replace it with salad and nuts or seeds etc… to go with the meat. Simple really.

You know, people mentioned that the Anabolic Diet was introduced (basically) with this program. Would you all say that this program is more suited for that kind of eating rather than with “normal” eating?

If so, I may well get on the AD again if I can get my soon-to-be wife on board with that way of eating.

I posted this in the other BBB thread also:

Got my book out and am missing some pages. 57-68 which is the 4 day program. Back in 95, my partner and I always did the 6 day and we would give the 4 day to a few buddies who opted for that frequency. Anyway, I no longer have these pages. Can anybody help me out somehow so I don’t have to buy the whole thing just for 12 pages?

Best,
DH

Hey DH, here’s the book online. Just click over to page 57 and your there! lol

The 3-week Growth Phase is pretty much normal training… Should see some great strength gains on all sets there.

From what i can see he was still dieting albiet we don’t know how long ago he stopped posting.

Is it the wisest move to UNDER eat on a program designed to get you big ? The 6 day a week program coupled with the High Fat - High Protein nutrition should sort out alot of your “dieting” problems ?

Yes-it will be worth it Trust me!!

I have one more week to go before I get to the three week SuperGrowth Phase. Past experience for me has been that my strength will take off during the second week of the growth phase.

Going good. I was missing alot of workouts for awhile-I travel alot for work, but that should be done for a few months. I decided to start all over and do the whole program as laid out in the manual for the whole 18 weeks. I usually add in some low intensity cardio 3-4 times a week as well.

I wanted to see if Icould get cut on the program. I did more of a high protein, low carb diet with occasional cheat days. I also did low intensity cardio -45 minutes 4-5times a week.Got down to around 205 or so.

Now I am 228 and just starting everything back up. The plan is to stick to the program and eat clean. Then I will see where I am at.
