I’ll consider doing 6x if MODOK, the other geezer here, does it too! ;0

Awww hell…no you dit-ent! Lol…
I have been thinking about it and regretting I didn’t keep objective data back then, but since the gauntlet has been thrown down, it might be time to just do the damn thing, and get some real good data this time.
Let me go dig the calender out. If we are doing it DH, you are bringing the Geritol and walking cane.

Whoaaa I didn’t expect MODOK to accept! This is going to be a hell of a summer.
I read the posts about this and bought the e-book and started the 6 day a week 1 workout per day, today. Good workout, I love the idea of working out 6 days a week.
You call it… 4x or 6x since I drug us into this. ;0
It would be great to get a group to actually give good intelligent feedback.
Lets talk shop about how best to set this up then.
BTW, Ive wondered about a push, pull split instead to allow for some more recovery. Hmm. But that would skew results from teh gate
MODOK wrote:

Hey everyone…was wondering why everyone chose the 6x a week? You all must really like pain lol
I am the only one on the 4x a week program! DH do 4x a week with me lol.
I opted for 6x a week because it’s the summer and I have no other time commitments besides work (30-40 hours a week). Once school starts back up again, I don’t know if I’ll have as much time, so I thought I’d take advantage of the free time
When you are doing “delts” how many of you are using primarily a compound pressing movement vs various types of raises to the front, side, and rear. Just wondering how well folks fare using a shoulder press move the day after a chest pressing movement?
Im going to try and gather some empirical data from some of our lab rats here.
So far I have Rastauri doing the 4 day and Smalltobig doing the 6 day 1x program? correct? Anyone else?
Best,
DH

Right now I do seated machine laterals on day 1, smith machine presses to the front on day 3 and hammer shoulder presses on day 6. I rotate the smith machine and hammer from time to time though

Pars, how much experience do you have with BBB and/or Titan. Fill us in a bit if you would…

DH,
I have used BBB almost exclusively for the last 4-5 years.I alternate between 4x a week and 6x week workouts depending on my work schedule… I actually prefer the 6x workout-mostly cause the 4x on Thursday and Friday get a little long for my taste. So right now I am doing the six day version. BBB has kind of a forced progreesion too it which I like alot. I have done other types of workouts ( I was a big HEAVY DUTY guy for a long time in my early lifting career ) but never really felt like I was getting the size gains I was after- I got stronger just not bigger ( hope that makes sense ) With BBB I got both!!
I have done Titan in the past but only for about 3 weeks or so. I got really burnt out on it but was dieting pretty hard at the time and probably pushed it a little too hard. I did seem to burn fat pretty good with it though. I felt like it did not have enough arm work too. I was doing alot of presses and rows with it too, but still seemed like my arms were down.
With BBB it seems like the 3x/week frequency for bodyparts is ideal for me. Especially for my shoulders, arms and back.
Hope that helps! Let me know if I can be of any help

Hey Guys,
I just saw this thread. I have been doing the BBB workout for quite awhile and would be happy to answerany questions.I was keeping a journal at bodybuilding.com . Do a search for “pars57” and you can check it out.
I am currently doing the six day and like it alot!
Pars
I’ve read a few pages of your log.
How are you doing these days, gains-wise?
From what i can see he was still dieting albiet we don’t know how long ago he stopped posting.
Is it the wisest move to UNDER eat on a program designed to get you big ? The 6 day a week program coupled with the High Fat - High Protein nutrition should sort out alot of your “dieting” problems ?
I wanted to see if Icould get cut on the program. I did more of a high protein, low carb diet with occasional cheat days. I also did low intensity cardio -45 minutes 4-5times a week.Got down to around 205 or so.
Now I am 228 and just starting everything back up. The plan is to stick to the program and eat clean. Then I will see where I am at.
Pars
Not trying to discourage you from doing this, because it sounds like you are an advanced trainer and everyone is a little different, But a hypocaloric diet with this system MAY fry you. I’ve never been able to handle it, as I need at least 4000 cal a day to not burn out after a couple weeks. I just switched to a twice a week program while I was dieting and throw the extra day back in when I was gaining. But you may be able to handle it. We’ll see how things go!
Modok,
Yes I agree- looking back I probably short changed myself on the results I could have had - but it was something I wanted to try.
Right now I plan to just train and eat and go through the whole 18 week program to a “T”
Day 3 and 4 definately are a little longer. Esp. day 4 for me, gotta warm up for squats n such, just takes quite a bit of time. After squaats though…I cannot rest 90 sceonds. and get on the bench…I gotta wait a few minutes until my back/legs will let me move lol.
Did squats tonight…405x8, 355x8, 315x10, 265x10 (shoulda did 275 for this one). 90 sec. rest…feels like no rest lol. Actually on the last set I still had the 3rd 45 plate on one side so when I went to unrack 265 I was like WOAH! lol. Forgot to take it off. When in my mind I already taken it off lol.
I believe this program has a psychological effect on me. If you work hard, you’ll get results. Period. That’s the way my mind is wired, if I work real hard I will get results no matter what and it makes me mentally strong.
When I was training more powerlifting type program…I didn’t feel like I was trainingi hard. Mostly because of the really long rest periods (4-5min) and doing low rep in squats. Just never felt like I actually worked out. It’d leave me mentally like I didn’t do much and won’t get anything in return.
With this program I am really being pushed with low rest periods, higher reps…and it’s just a ballbustin workout man…nothin around it. You do the weight, rest ltitle and grind through the next set.
This makes me mentally stronger and I go to sleep better knowing that i put absolutely everything into my workout and all I need now is some food and sleep and my gains will come.
And when I go into my next workout I have a mental edge like a sword in my mind and I just feel LASER LIKE focused on the workout and really nothing else is in my mind.
Where as my powerlifting workouts…I would just drift away mentally from it with long rest periods.
Especially cause I train alone too.
Just though I’d share that with you all, and wondering if any of you felt these same effects.

Theres a lot going on in this program…and you are trying to set a new PR each and every set from the week before, so things can get pretty amped up. I usually get clammy hands and an increased heart rate just thinking about going to the gym when I’m rolling hard in a program like this. Its pretty awesome.
Lol alot is an understatement
You should definately follow what you did 1st time around, do same exercises Day1/5, Day 2/6
Whatever you do on the 8-10 Day the next week try grind out 5 more reps, works pretty damn well at figuring out weights.
The clammy hands and amped come on Days 2/4/6 they really whack every last bit of energy out of you today i have
All for 13-15 reps / 90 sec rest LOL
5 sets of Military Press standing
5 sets of Close Grip Bench Press
5 sets of Back Squats <<------ OMG
5 sets of Leg Curls
5 Sets of Abs
If someone survives this they will survive any program LOL having 2 Red Bulls before i go though
I just had my 33rd birthday today… by the time they were my age, Alexander the Great had conquered the known world, Julius Caesar had crossed the Rubicon, and Jesus waas getting ready to save the entire world… damn I’m a slacker.

Posted this in the other thread, but seems like this is the main one, so I’m putting it here too
BBB Day 1-
I had no idea what I was getting myself into - I feared the high rep work and multiple sets, but not enough.
Rack Deadlifts - 150x13 130x15 130x12 Thought maybe 20 kg was too much of a decrease, but at that 2nd set my lack of high-rep work except for squats was showing.
DB Benchpess 30x15 28x8 -Yep, go down here to 26 next time 24x14
Db Curls 12x15 10x15 8x15
Standing Calf Raises 40x15 35x15 30x13
Did some extreme stretching at the end, I know this program doesn’t call for it but what the hell.
Wow, this thread has got me sparkedâ?¦ I did my first BBB workout yesterday and am trying to find a way to accommodate the six day routine in my schedule (perhaps vice versa…). I had a question for the founts of knowledge posting here; any help would be much appreciated.
How much general exercise is tolerable when following the six day routine? I usually have an hour and a half Taekwondo lesson (Think GPP) early in the AM on day three of the schedule, and I was wondering whether this would interfere too much with a PM weight training session. This is taking good peri-workout nutrition into account, of course.

Personally, I’ve got some extra going on along with the BBB. I work 5 days a week from 1-5 at our local boys and girls club. So for at least 2-3 hours everyday I’m outside playing dodgeball, football, or basketball with kids. I’ve had to move my workouts to the AM because after work I’m just too tired, but it’s possible to get through the week. But by the 6th day I’m definitely feeling rundown with my body aching and just a general feeling of tiredness. Let’s just say that off day comes just in time.
Point of the story: I think one TKO session a week won’t interfere too much. Your body will adapt, if anything, after a while.
This program sucks! I hate Cephalic_Carnage for talking me into doing it, but there’s just something persuasive about 300 pounds of pizza-munching German.
BTN-Press
42x15 50x13 My starting-set next time 45x9
Dead Skulls 27x15 24x15 20x15
Squat 92x15 82x13 72x13 Took it easy since my left knee was hurting a bit today. Energy was also low from an 1.5 hour bikeride, 1 hour of squash and 30 minutes of swimming at work.
Wojo Back Extensions bwx15,15,15 Not sure how I’ll load these, maybe a short barbell next time.
Ab Wheel rollouts 13,10,9
Dreading tomorrow. I guess I have nop choice but to eat, grow and progress or die.
