Rice milk, oat milk, almond milk, hazelnut etc…
Are they shot with plant estrogens and potentially carcinognic too? Are they safer
The protein in animal milk is complete and if it’s whole milk has all the fat needed to digest the protein too.
I don’t think i would bother with any other kind of milk, others may have.
exaclty those others will not have a complete profile of aminos. Have a glass with some meat and veggies

could be if they are soy milk, estrogenic i mean.
Before we remind him of the importance of real milk, it may be useful for us to know why he’s asking?
I definitely do drink whole milk. I love the stuff! But sometimes I think it might be making me sleepy. So I need some kind of milky substance to mix my shakes with when I am having them in the day and can’t grap an insulin induced cat nap.
This is a delima that i have already confronted in the past, and I thought I had solved it by drinking my fiancee’s soy milk. I did that for months until I read here about how cruddy soy is. Now I won’t touch the stuff.
I started buying all these good substitutes. Hazelnut milk… rice milk… oat. So far they work great, but i just wondered if there was any intel about those… Do thay have any of the problems associated with soymilk?
eh… I just realized that this was a stupid question. the problems with soy aren’t just about soy MILK. It’s soy itself and things the bean contains. But obviously oats, rice, and hazelnuts don’t have those things or there would be scientific exposes on those. I will think before I post next time. sorry.
no problems, it was interesting to read the reason you wanted to try different milks. I’d guess the nut and oat based milks to be harmless enough. I dont get sleepy from milk but do if it eat a larger amount of sugary food. sounds like you’re quite sensitive to an insulin spike.
For bulking I have used coconut milk mixed with my protein shake pre and post work out… Man High in Cals but it was solid!
Solid muscle gains!
Solid recovery!
