So I’ve been drinking soy milk for about 3 years or so, but I think it’s time for a change. There’s a lot of bad rep about it and I don’t know if I believe it, but If it’s true I’d hate to imagine I’m hindering my results.
Anyway is there anything wrong with rice milk or almond milk?
Thanks guys.
Have you turned into a woman yet? (if your a man? lol) jk
I’m against soy just because I don’t like estrogen and if there is even one study that says soy increases estrogen or decreases sperm count etc I’m staying away.
Regardless that isn’t your question. lol
Are you lactose intolerant, is that the reason for not drinking regular whole milk?
Rice Milk or almond milk as far as I know will not replace whole milk, but doesn’t taste that bad compared to goats milk that some others drink who are lactose intolerant.
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help, I drink whole milk and know hardly anything of rice or almond milk.
ha yeah I’m still a man, but yeah for the reasons you said I’m going to stay away from soy.
And I’m not lactose intolerant, but my mom is and I’ve just grown to love the taste compared to milk. Plus it’s just easier to store when I’m at college because it doesn’t need to be refrigerated. If rice milk is bad I’ll just go for regular milk.
Yea dood drink whole milk. Can’t beat it and will help put muscle on ya lol
You can get 2 gallons for like 6 bucks if you look hard enough. i personally go through that in a week with my current bulk. Sometimes more.
There are dairy and milk critics out there, but I’m a huuuuuge fan of milk ;D
Stay away from soy, if you want rice milk or something for some flavor, some every now and then won’t be too bad. To be completely honest you can have a lil soy now and then but i personally avoid it.

so does anyone know anything about rice milk?[/quote]
Rice milk…generally pretty high carb, low protein and very low fat. Have had it in the past (when I was 10 or so), so obviously it’s been a while. Never like anything but goat’s or cow’s milk though. Goat’s milk is expensive, and takes a little bit to get used to, but once I made the adjustment I loved that stuff. Now I just drink whole cow’s milk, a gallon a day right now. 2300 easy, cheap kcals.
If your goal is better body comp - more muscle and/or lower bodyfat, there is no reason to drink rice milk.
Lactaid is the same as regular cow’s milk except it provides the enzyme to digest lactose. My guess would be that Lactaid has a slightly higher glycemic index than regular milk, b/c the lactose is already broken down into its monosaccharide components: gluctose and galactose.
