Has anyone here had experience with osteitis pubis, or know who would? I’m trying to get as much information as I can on what I should and shouldn’t be doing, especially since I’m not super-confident in the orthopedist I saw (he seemed to think MRIs were conclusive on sports hernias, and that the obvious degradation of my pubic symphysis on x-ray didn’t mean anything).
My case presented much like a sports hernia with abdominal pain in running and lunging movements following some adductor strains early in the summer. However, even though I’ve never felt the pain particularly at the symphysis, MRI was positive for OP (no sign of a sports hernia), and the x-ray showed some degradation there.
My currently allowed lower body lifting includes: single leg deadlifts, stiff leg deadlifts, leg extensions and leg curls. Allowed conditioning includes the stationary bike and elliptical machine.
Any extra information is much appreciated (is there a better forum for this? it’s hard to tell after the split).
