I just started OVT Monday and am wondering if and how much conditioning work i could throw in on my off days. Perhaps every off day and leaving one for complete rest? If so, typical sled pushes, sledge hammer work or other conditioning exercises? I am going to ramp up the carbs for size and strength gains progressivley throughout this program and would like to keep fat off and hopefully even lose some. Let me know how i can incorporate proper condiitioning into this punishing program that has me walking like a baby deer after leg day.
If you follow the template as he CT wrote on the below link…I would keep conditioning work to Days 4,5,6. You might be able to do some on day 2 after the leg workout, but the next day you’ll probably need a break. I know its cliche, but as long as you eat and sleep enough, do what you can handle.
IMHO, I would try one of the indigo programs. I’m in the middle of phase 2 for hypertrophy, and like it a lot. The squat volume is high enough that I find I don’t need(or desire) additional conditioning work. Nothing gets my heart going like a lot of squats. If you look around the site, I think you can find somewhere that CT recommends Indigo over OVT now, because his knowledge of programming has improved. I wouldn’t even be surprised if he recommends something over indigo now too.

HEres a second reply. Just looked at Indigo,where is there a G 1-2 superset listed? It states it in the description above F supersets but I dont see a G. I am looking in the Hypertrophy version.
Theres some G exercises on Back day, but I think on the other days where it says G is just an editing error…I think he wrote like 10 variations, so he copy/pasted the basic instructions.
One final dumb question. In the specialization workouts, where did you implement them? Do i throw these in after i complete A-f? Or are they just there as a change up? Thanks bro.
Haven’t done any of them. I’ve seen progress in all areas without having to add anything extra to the vanilla version
