Indigo Programs FAQ?

Hey CT,

I saw your Indigo programs posted:

While I’m seasoned T-Nation reader I still am not really sure if I understand everything clearly. So if there is no FAQ section, may I post few questions and you can shed some light on how they are supposed to be read?

I’m reading the Fat Loss / Hypertrophy program right now but they all seem to share common format.

Q1: “PART 1 - HIGH FREQUENCY STRENGTH” - it says “every day” but it’s actually 5 days a week from the sheet. If it’s 5 days a week, does it matter if they are all consecutive (eg Mon-Fri) or with a gap (Mon-Wed, Fri-Sat)?

Q2: “PART 2 - COMPLEX”. There are two complexes actually. Are they done immediately after PART 1, same workout?

Q3: What is Rest / Station and “Rest / Sets”?
I read it as “rest between sets in a circuit” and “rest between whole circuits” - is that correct?

Q4: For those of us that can not do “Prowler pushing” due to small gym/lack of equipment, what are the alternatives?

Q5: How are the Extra workouts integrated?
There are plenty of them. If we are already working out 5 days / week, it seems that there isn’t much room left for extra workouts. So I guess it goes something like “if you feel like training more, you can select 1-2 extra workouts that target lagging aspects”. Is that so? How would you fit that between the 5 base workouts?

Q6: What is the supplementation list that one must take to be able to support so much volume?

And one personal, that might not affect many people. I’m already training amateur gymnastics about 2 times a week. The workouts take about 3 hours, most of which are coordination exercises that are not so taxing but last 30-40 minutes are whole body workout of body-weight exercises done to failure, also some rings and other gymnastic exercises. Is it possible to drop 1 of the base workouts from the Indigo program, not do any extra workouts as I’ll already be training 6 days a week?

Thanks!

Not CT, but everything has been answered before.

Q1: 5 days a week. Whatever tickles your fancy. I would not do day 5 and day 1 back to back due to overlap in exercise.

Q2: Do C1, all 4 sets. Then C2.

Q3: follow the pattern. D1 for 30 sec, rest 15 sec, D2 for 30 sec, rest 15 sec, D3 for 30 sec, rest for 15 sec, D4 for 30 sec, rest 90 sec. repeat 3 more times. As written.

Q4: There are none really. Few articles written on this site. Check them out.

Q5: This would be day 6. Or off day in your case. But do not attempt unless you have a full month under your belt. It’s already intense enough. And make sure you are using peri workout protocol. Besides, you are doing gymnastics 2 days a week…

Q6: This is a weird question, as it is an Indigo program… Try the Plazma superstack.
