Opinions About Speedos?

Ok enough with the gross pictures please!!

Lol I had no idea speedos were that hated here. Fine then, let him keep the silly tan line on his thighs.

Oh well. I can’t wear bikini bottoms bought here because they’re granny size, even the ones they call “minimal coverage”, I have to wear the ones I brought when I moved. I’m sorry, I don’t want a white butt with tan legs, looks just too weird.

I guess America is a few years behind on beach fashion…
Are you talking thongs here? One last gross picture then…

Here’s one way to avoid a white booty:

I know, but it would help us all if we could at least get a better visual of what your swim suit looks like. Some of us poor Americans have never even seen large bodies of water…let alone what women’s swim suits look like.

I mean, some of us have never seen a woman, period.

Could you help us out?

I concur. I really, really concur.

Yeah, this thread needs more pictures.

I wore a thong to a friend’s pool party as a joke just a couple weeks ago.

I regretted that.

I was told by my best friend that I have a ‘voluptuous ass’ and my other friends agreed.

I haven’t talked to any of them outside of text messages in 16 days or so.

Get off my lawn bitches

Lol no way I’m posting a pic of myself in a thong on a public forum. But there’s a pic in my profile that might satisfy?

Don’t even care if it’s a speedo or not…

I wore a speedo when I went to PCB for spring break, it worked exceedingly well.

I would just walk down the beach and girls would want to take pictures, another girl got paid 5 bucks to run up and smack my ass, it was just an all around great decision. I got plenty of numbers and didn’t really have to do anything but walk down the beach

I just wish I had pictures! Downside of going with all dudes, no one has a camera lol

You obviously didn’t look hard enough.

Maybe YOU’RE a few years behind… oh, wait that’s impossible. If something in the US is different than another country it’s automatically because we’re “behind.”

Check out the link below if you want an overview of the history of US men’s swimwear. Note that in various times past (the 30s, 60s, 80s) swimwear was generally much smaller than the trunks most wear today. It’s all just a matter of what’s in style, not outdated cultural sensibilities as some might imply.

It’s amazing that as many thousands of Speedo’s I’ve seen for sale at sporting goods stores, I’ve only seen about four actually being worn. How does that product line stay viable in the U.S.?

Dude, in the quest to get betaberry to show off her swimsuits so she can show us what proper fashion is all about, you’re either with us or against us.

I don’t know why someone would point and laugh at someone on the beach unless they were insecure themselves at the beach. I’m actually getting a little bored with board shorts and am opting for something that’ll show off my legs a little bit more. While I won’t be getting the square cut speedos, I really don’t see a problem with them.

Right…if you saw a gigantic 500lbs woman wearing a thong and spray painted nipple stars, you wouldn’t make even one quip? Not one? What the hell is wrong you, man???

lol … you know what I mean X
No, I think polo REALLYY doesn’t see a problem with them. :stuck_out_tongue:

See… I mentioned female bikini bottoms and you guys are thinking thongs… which is exactly the problem. Bikini bottoms here are diapers or thongs, no in-between.

And I’m sorry if you feel offended because I said America is behind on something, but let’s be honest, I come from a country that has 360 days/year of warm weather, 8,000 kilometers of beaches, and a reputation for its women and their barely covered booties. We do have more beach experience. Are you really going to pull the “history” thing here? Which is not even valid, because that’s the story of man’s beach fashion IN the US (and therefore cultural).

And if you must mention cultural sensibilities, just go to Rio anytime, you’ll see a bunch of hot guys in square leg speedos. I like it, and I hope it catches on. Just like you guys like to see a hot chick in tight clothes, I think speedos look much better than trunks.

Don’t listen to that asshole.

Now, where were we? About to go try on a couple of those brazilian swim suits?

I don’t think I could wear a speedo. The ocean is cold and too much shrinkage causes embarrassment.
