One Lift vs Endurance

The only thing I can really say is “I don’t know…try it.” Mark Twight tweaked the crossfit.com programs to do these ski mountaineering races and some serious climbing stuff. The four to twenty minute crossfit workouts were awesome for “most” of Mark’s needs, but an ultraendurance athlete also needs to do certain things.

I find that Highland Games and Wt. Pents exhaust me. But, jogging or step aerobics wouldn’t help as the exhaustion comes from the multiple exertions in multiple events. It’s hard to mimic outside of simply doing several things in a workout.

So…do.

DJ,

Thats good enough for me. I’ll keep you posted. What better to seek than the unknown.

Rock on

Hell ya, I’m gonna try it.

On a full-dose of Carbolin 19.

I’m starting May 15th. I’ve got the supplements loaded up. I have no idea what to expect. I play two cycles of the workout by the end of summer (with a 4 week break in between)

Anyones thoughts on Rows vs. Weighted Pull-ups to Sternum for my particular case?

Since you are doing DLs too (thickness), I’d personally choose the weighted chins or pullups…but they are one of my favs anyway, so I’m biased.

Matthew

Wish I had time and money to do training like that! I’ haven’t been training competitive endurance sports, but did lot of endurance last two-three years, until this spring 05 (running, spinning, cycling, aerobics) . Last two winter I had good mix of weight training and endurance ( I had time and money to do that), but now I only liftin weight and getting feeling angry and lazy…

I.m sorry, but I’m little jealous!

Good luck for training and competitions!

JB’s Massive Eating has me at 5,600.

I will probably be having two Surge shakes a day (after each workout) and use the Surge shakes as the big calorie difference between off-days.

Normally, I am very good with estimating my calories. With this brutal of a workout I am open to all suggestions.

Keep in mind that I am a triathlete so much of any non-functional weight gain is detrimental. Although I am left with quite a bit of time to shave off some added fat…

Holy shit 5600! Is it hard to eaten that much? I remember that eating was easier, when I did much aerobics, but it’s always hard to plan healthy, with so many calories. But it’s impossible (to me) eat foods that fills too easy. I eaten tons of pasta and rice (white and dark), but it’s easier eat carbs from muesli and bread, it’s only way get 600-800 grams of carbs of solid food! Ofcourse I drunk sports drinks, if aerobic workout lasts more than 1 hr.

But everyboy’s different, I had no problem tostay lean (my bf, in that time, stays current 5-7% range - of course I weigted only 76-78kg with179 cm)

It will be fun. I just got to make sure I don’t lose weight. Lots of sweet potatoes and oils
