Circuit: Jump squat, core variation, skaters 20 down to 1.
Sit ups, Russian twists, leg lifts
Added 8# ball to twists and 2.5# plate to situps starting at 14. Last 3 rounds were ab wheel on my knees. Attempted the last one on my toes and that was a hard no. Pretty sure this is a PR for pullups for me. So woohoo on that. This evening will be all prep for my trip. Food is always fun on a long car ride. Not sure if I will weigh everything or just let tomorrow be a snacking kind of day. I mean, it’s all going to be chicken, fruit and veggies. Maybe some yogurt for fun. We will see.
Yeah. I’m a bit confused on that. Lol.
Edit: Although maybe they don’t count because they aren’t continuous. I have to reset and take a big breath between each one… Either way I’m pulling myself up.
Bench: (65, 70) 85, 90, 95 x 4 pretty sure this is a PR for me. Definitely a PR with proper form.
Single leg deadlift: 45, 45, 45
Single arm row: (15) 30, 30, 30
Super set
Tricep extensions 3 x 10: 15, 15, 20 x 7
Hammer curls 3 x 10: 15, 20, 25 x 7
Situps 2.5# plate behind head 20 x 1, 15 x 2
Today was a good session. I felt strong through most of it. It’s starting to get harder to add weight. I’m taking that as good progress. My weight loss has stalled but my weight lifted is increasing. I find that to be an acceptable exchange. I helped my husband lift a refrigerator into the back of his work van with very little effort. I’ll take the strength over being small. If more fuel is required to build, so be it. Happy Friday all!!
Today has been a shit day. We were supposed to leave bright and early to drive to Pennsylvania so we can attend my nephew’s wedding tomorrow. Got up, lifted, showered, and got the car packed. Then I checked on my sweet kitty. She hasn’t been doing well. She goes through phases where she doesn’t eat for a day or so, then starts to eat again. This time she didn’t start again. Today was day 4 with no eating. It became clear pretty quickly that we couldn’t just leave her to starve to death over the weekend. So we took her into the vet and they agreed that it was time to put her down. So we put her to sleep and brought her home to bury her. My husband, son and I sat together after for a while and grieved. Then we loaded the car back up and set off to celebrate happy things with family. Now we have been stuck at a dead standstill on the interstate for about an hour with no signs of moving anytime soon. Still have over six hours to drive to get there. What a shit day. Tomorrow will be better.
Oh my, how precious! I’m unfortunately allergic to a lot of cats, but I would not have hesitated to hug her immediately. I’m sure she lived a great life.
Sorry to hear this @BethB
I’ve lost a few over the years and it never gets easier. They are family.
You did the right thing for your furball. That’s what’s important.
Cut my workout very short. My head is not in a great place. Hopefully I will get my shit together and maybe finish later today. Otherwise my deadlift grew a bit and felt pretty easy so I’m pretty happy with that.
