There is a certain type of women who are only attracted to such men and have the knack for sniffing them out quickly. And I have enough up-close observation of this.

Certainly not all women are attracted to such men, but these men attract an inordinate amount of women. Has anyone seen what women look like and how they act in the presence of a squad of such men? I have.

If I am derailing here, I can take this topic to the fatherhood thread, which is the more-recently active thread about sexuality and manhood.

No derail. I was looking for clarification and I’m glad you gave it. I can’t disagree with the observation. I can’t say I fall into that group, but I know plenty of women who do.

I don’t care if .75 of a pull up counts as a fail. I’m counting it as a victory. Lowered my weight on the farmer carries and extended the distance as advised. No knee pain. Woot! Push ups are coming along nicely.

2.75 is a good amount of pullups. You get that to 5 or 6, and you will be in what I consider serious badass territory.

Rest day. Good and bad. I could use the rest, but I like the workouts. I’m looking forward to lifting tomorrow. Also have a massage tomorrow. That is my favorite day of the month. That woman has strength in her hands that could make a grown man cry. It’s glorious. I have noticed a significant visual change in the last 2 weeks. My pants are extremely loose now. I can also see muscles in my back again. Those have been well camouflaged for quite some time. There are also visible obliques if you have the right light and squint kinda hard.
No time for fucking around this weekend. I have to get all my food prep and snacks for the boys made by Sunday. I have to work Monday (curses up on the world) and we leave for a wedding in the homeland Friday morning so no days to get shit done beyond the actual weekend. I hate that. I’ll have to do food prep for the car ride and for all the meals (except the actual reception) before we leave. We will have a kitchen while we are there, but I think it will be easier to just pre cook everything and reheat when we eat.
Side note: I’m trying really hard to like cottage cheese. It’s not going well. For my overwhelming love of dairy, I just can’t seem to like it. But I guess it will probably be like plain oatmeal. Once you get used to it, it will be fine. :crossed_fingers:

This is motivating enough to change my goal to 7. :flexed_biceps:

I also finally dropped below 146 today (145.9) so am feeling all hopped up on that. Seeing your pic just added another level of DOABLE to the whole project.

Deload day. Felt good through everything. Still made me sweat. Massage was everything I hoped it would be. No macros today. I intend to enjoy dinner with my family. Seven pounds to my goal. Although I fit in some of my size 6 clothes I’m not quite into all of them yet. Not too far to go. I’m planning to get two very good lifting sessions in this week as well as three good workouts. I’m taking the weekend off for my travels.

Circuit: Jump squat, core variation, skaters 20 down to 1.

So, I’m not totally sure what happened on the pull-ups here. I’m assuming this is the result of less fatigue from my deload this week? Or maybe it just shows a previous lack of effort. I don’t think it’s the latter. I’ve been struggling pretty hard with them, so I’m assuming I was just a bit more fresh with the easy work earlier in the week. Either way I’m pretty fucking excited about 6 pull-ups.
I switched through sit-ups, Russian twists and leg raises for my core work. Starting at round 11 I added 2.5# plate for situps and an 8# medicine ball for the twists. My last 2 sets were the ab wheel on my knees.
I’m starting to notice an increase in appetite. I’m assuming this is because there is less of me to cannibalize. So I’m thinking I might be pretty happy where I am and it might be time to start looking at maintenance. Or at least going a bit easier on the deficit. I think I’m ok with a slowdown on weight loss in exchange for muscle growth. Going to stick with clean eating, maybe just slightly larger portions.

This seems to have helped quite a bit. Haven’t had any knee pain since. Thank you!

I struggled pretty hard through this whole session. The squats felt twice as heavy as they should. I increased slightly on most lifts (except squats). Had to dig deep to get through it. Hopefully Wednesday will be better.

Got off early today so I’m redoing some granola that I may or may not have slightly burned yesterday. Also gonna prep chicken for some Chicken tikka masala for tomorrow night’s dinner. Gonna make a chickpea version for our resident vegitarian as well.

My son told me that last night at work “some lady in scrubs” told him that he has the face to be a model or an actor. I asked if that boosted his ego and he said “you’re gosh darn right it did!” :rofl::smiling_face: Kid cracks me up.

I may have said this before, but I’m 90% sure that I have the best husband in the world. No special reason for it. He just makes my life infinitely better. And he is so very funny! :heart_on_fire:
