I just wonder what Wolf’s back is going to look like. If it’s improved since last year, he’s got a good chance of placing well.
Shame he only has 1 calf…

A lot of people criticized him in the past, suggesting that perhaps his body had just reached the point where it’s not responding anymore. He has been competing since his teens, which is a serious lot to ask of your body. Still, if you think about it, Jay hasn’t been onstage in 2 years’ time. That’s a good amount of rest if you ask me! Maybe it’s just what he needed, because unlike some guys who crawl over the finish line, Jay’s looks fairly healthy and happy.

Gonna be interesting to compare this year to how he looked in '09, which IMO has been he best overall showing to date.

Pulling for Mark Dugdale to do well in the 212. John Meadows has been working with him and Dugdale has been using MAG-10 and Plazma and from pics I have seen, seems very much improved. Good luck, Mark!
Ahh…to be young again.
Lol, not sure if you’re referring to me (I’m 45, but really young at heart) or Dugdale (he’s 38) or John Meadows (late 30’s I believe). I didn’t mean to suggest Plazma built his physique or would make all the difference, and apologize if it came across that way.

It’s just that at the elite level, I suspect, even little difference to an already accomplished physique could be the difference between 6th and 2nd place. I was also just trying to note that Dugdale and Meadows have both commented on how well this product has worked for them.

Cheers.

Jay looks a lot tighter, personally I think he looks the best he’s ever looked, better than when he was battling it out with Coleman. Don’t think he has a real shot at winning the title again though.

Who is the other behemoth?

The one in the middle looks like MattyXL (kinda). The guy on the right is the guy that was gifted at the Dallas Europa over Essa. Kuclo is his name, and his schmoe is a big influence in the bodybuilding scene… err wait, his friend, that’s it.

Interesting to note in that picture how much leaner Phil looks than Kuclo. Different levels for sure. Phil is always dialed in, and that makes him an impressive Mr. Olympia.

S
Kuclo has alot of potential though i think.Tall, wide and a pretty well balanced physique.

shoulder training tonite for me…

this Heath shoulders vid was good - hardest i’ve ever seen him push. can’t wait for the O!

been using much Mnt. Dog stuff lately…love these destroyers for the rear delts and then these 6s for a burn…

FYI, just listened to a pre-show with Palumbo, he interviewed some folks. Also there are some photos out of the guys at the initial conference. Jay looks incredibly lean, Rammy looks big next to Evan and behind Wolf in the chair, and Kai’s hoodie is sticking out about a foot and a half from the back of his head due to ponytail’age.

Looks to be exciting. Jay may be one of, if not, the leanest based on how his face looks. Definitely not the biggest though. Hopefully all of the guys will be dialed, I want a good show!

A past great and a future great. Jay was quoted as telling Rammy, “you are the future of bodybuilding.” That’s pretty cool.

There will be a live stream for the weekend, use Google to find it. Special speakers for this year’s pre-show and post-show are to be none other than 8x Ronnie Coleman and Lou “the Hulk” Ferrigno.

Dave Palumbo will also be doing a live stream during the Olympia . If you don’t like the other live streams speakers (Layne and I think someone else probably), tune in to his commentary with Chris Aceto - the guy who is Jay’s guru - and enjoy their anaylsis and play-by-play.

Get pumped, get fired up, and get ready!

There are definitely some good guys providing play by plays. Palumbo, while some people aren’t really fans (forget how knowledgable he may be, he’s one shady dude -lol) always gives great insight and breakdowns IMO. Aceto is also one of my favorite people in the sport. A former competitor, ex-husband of a definite top tier pro, and the guy who really brought Cutler from oversize farm boy to IFBB Pro, he’s worked with some of the real top dogs on the Olympia (and any other) stage, and without ever sounding condescending, always provides simple, straight to the point assessments.

Layne’s always a good addition too. You can tell he’s a big fan of the sport, and that always adds to the commentary.

I think some events start tonight? I’m really not sure as to the womens’ classes, or even the 212’s. Sure I’m anxious to see if Flex Lewis repeats, or if Henry addresses his lagging quads (from time off I assume), or possibly if Jose Raymond puts it all together in a “prettier” package (he’s already always diced and vascular as hell!), but we all know the ‘real’ show starts Friday night!

Coleman’s top 6 prediction, in no particular order;

Rhoden
Heath
Greene
Cutler
Ramy
Dexter

I’m just ready to see all the people on the same stage, which is always the moment of truth. I keep seeing pics that are 5-14 days out of a lot of competitors and it’s hard to judge.

Like Ramy’s arms look noticeably smaller than Phil’s - but Ramy is a big mofo and his arms could be just as big as Phil’s. Haven’t seen anyone next to each other really, so it just has to wait until judgement day.

I think this years Olympia’s top few places are one of the toughest fights for the competitors, no room for error at all or they’ll be pushed down to bottom 3 or 4.

I’m happy to see Branch back, I really like his look, but don’t think he’ll be a top contender. I also want to see what Ramy can bring to the table (oh, and x2 to whoever said he shoulda been Bane in Batman hahahahaa)
