Its really funny that Women’s Physique is a rather decent amount of musculature and the girls get incredibly lean. Compare that to the Men’s Physique and its somewhat funny in comparison on “effort” by appearance.
Jamie Pinder will be there this year as well. She is a member of Team Starnes. I wish her the best of luck! Going to be pretty cool to be a part of the “first ever”. It will also help the competitors set a precedent for what they should aim for physique-wise.
And as this is an Olympia thread, anything relating to the Olympia is welcome… even Physique. Also Victor’s wife is gorgeous, saw a picture of her on another forum. He’s done well for himself all things considered.[/quote]
Yeah cause men’s physique competitors aren’t big and shredded at all.

I just wish they would fix the poses and board shorts.
They are big, but Google Jamie Pinder… that is shredded. The above looks ready for the beach, not the stage - but again I think its the point - like Bikini.

Sat behind that guy during the NY Pro earlier this year. 90% of the guys who rag on Men’s physique aren’t even close to his size,… BUT I can understand why for anyone who values developing the entire body, skipping over half of it and giving points for essentially being good looking, seem a little wrong.
He’s definitely in great condition. To be honest though, his legs look smaller than before, his left arm looks smaller than his right, and we have 0 back shots - which is where he’ll have the most difficult time competing with the other guys.
Kai has a pic up too, its quite impressive as well.
Websites and such are still advertising Jay as the potential 2013 Mr. Olympia. Get ready for some heavy politic’ing. I could see them making this a “story year” as opposed to a legit competition.
Jay in top 2, Branch in top 5. Kai kicked to 3rd/4th depending on Ramy - who has hype and hype = money. Wolf finishes luckily in the top 10, but below Branch (lol).
Its going to be a bad story. Look at Kai’s new pic and Jay’s… Jay is way behind in size, and unless he’s hoping for a Dexter Jackson type judging, he’s not going to compete with the massive guys. Phil probably outmasses him now too.

I think the legs being smaller might just be from the angle but I could obviously be wrong. From the side view they look pretty big.
I’m not sure where you get the left arm smaller thing because half of the other one is hidden.
If Jay keeps the facial hair I think his stock rises quite a bit
someone find and post the new kai pic…havent seen it. any posts of these guys w/ this much time before the show would be cool…we are getting close fellas, love this time of year!!! pinder from physique is very cool, she’s awesome! i’m rooting for dlb and i think working w/ jose raymond really helped her to bring her legs up, working w/ farah helped her get in great condition – we’ll see.
pinder is working w/ starnes, yes? my wifey has been following mnt. dog training and starnes diet…good stuff!
And yes, Pinder is a member of Team Starnes. There are a couple videos of her on Youtube I believe. She is looking pretty damned shredded. Hardcore personality as far as dedication is concerned. Hope she does well.

Which is fine hes prolly not abusing diuretics which I’m sure hes happy with lol.
I’ve seen (and taken) quite a few photos where competitors’ legs look smaller due to holding the camera at head/shoulder level. Talking about being behind in size, or lacking back shots is silly because it’s not like Jay will be able to hide anything next weekend. This isn’t the internet where people give ‘magic photos’ to falsely convey the quality of their overall physique.
If Jay is indeed going to come in noticeably trimmer than we’d expect, it’s probably going to be more streamlined a la 2009. IMO, that still wasn’t “small” as Jay is basically one of the larger dudes no matter how she shows up.
I hate male physique despite it being my preferential body type. The poses are ridiculous. The beauty pageant aspect is horrible and the fact that quad development is completely removed is dumb too. Why not let them wear some really short board shorts or something? I don’t get it.
my ideal. kai 1, jay 2, phil slides back to 3 or 4.
hope kai is tight, full, no water retention or film, better than last year, freaky anatomy chart on LSD, feathers everywhere and not from some crazy gay posing routine w/ feathers flying in the air and leather mask and strobe lights.
I hope jay is like 2009 jay - beast.
Phil - i like him, great arms, too balloon like for my taste, his back has looked sick lately though, the guy took a weakness and made it a weapon - respect.
hope rhoden looks great, bigger but w/ the same symmetry and diced.
I still think dexter can crack top 5-6, the guy has an amazing physique.
We’ll see what Ramy looks like, hammies and calves and a few shots might not be where they need to be for top calling – or he might just kill it all and be in the top 3!
Rooting for Vic, hope he gets the looks he should if he’s on.
Excited. And FUCK generation iron btw—it’s not playing anywhere, like ATL isn’t a big fucking city. Pissed.
If that pic of kai is recent I think he looks kinda fat compared to other’s recent pics. I mean he’s always got his conditioning on par come contest time but maybe he put on too much size this year

Striations in hamstrings and chest.
Dude is leaner right now than ANYONE was between 1950-1990…except for maybe Andreas Munzer…and look what happened to him.
